  1. I currently play Mizuno MP25 P-7i & MPH5 6-4i. I’m thinking about getting new irons. The 243/S3/245s are attractive as are the ZXi7/ZXi5. I also am intrigued by Titleist’s latest T-series. I would get custom fit and probably a combo set depending on fitter recommendation. I was fit into my current set and am getting reasonable launch and spin numbers still. What can I reasonably expect dropping ~$1500 on 10 year newer irons? I don’t yearn for additional distance, but am always trying to hit it closer to the hole and score lower. Would there be a noticeable upgrade in performance or is it more just a shiny eye candy upgrade to the bag? Thanks for your insight.
  2. Thanks for pointing this out, very encouraging.
  3. I’m not a huge equipment guy, but I’ve got a bit of a bug and am considering getting fit into new irons. I generally don’t like change and prefer to buy once cry once, then set it and forget it. I’m a 7 hcp with a 115mph driver swing and would be looking at the usual suspects (srixon zxi7/zxi5, titleist t100/150, Mizuno 243/245, etc) My question is, how have set makeups changed in the last 10 years. Here’s what I’m currently gaming: -Titlesist TSR3 9.5 driver -Callaway XR Pro 14* 3W -Titleist 818h2 19* hybrid -Mizuno mph5 4-6 -Mizuno mp25 7-P -Vokey 50/54/58 With lofts getting stronger and distances increasing, are folks still running 4 irons? Are combo sets still a good thing to consider? It seems most PWs are 44* these days, how are people blending the gap to the gap wedge? My Mizuno 4i is 24*, that’s a 5i in the Mizuno 245 or Srixon ZXi5, how are people arranging the top of the bag? I imagine after not really changing much in over a decade, new irons also means a new hybrid or fairway metal. Thanks for the insight.
