At 50+ and the beneficiary of several knee surgeries, I can tell you to forget the cane and keep that extra wedge… wedges are the perfect length to use as a cane!

I have not tried other Cleveland hybrids so it’s hard for me to compare, just the original 18* hy-wood. I prefer the shorter shaft of a hybrid over fairway wood lengths, which is what led me to it. I’ve also never had good luck with 2h’s or 3h’s since I don’t generate enough SS and spin to get enough carry with that low of loft, but the hy-wood has been a best of both worlds for me- shorter than fairway shaft, able to launch it like a 5 wood. As Popeye has mentioned, the Maltby Pro IST 6h head is bigger than I wanted to see, but my first two rounds with it have produced the results I was hoping for.

I just built mine with the Rapport blue core hybrid shaft (too impatient to wait on the back-ordered Maltby hybrid shafts) and it's pretty easy to hit. I was looking to fill the 160-165ish yard gap and it appears to be the answer. I hit my 7 iron up to 155 and my 5hy is going 175ish. This is my first run with Rapport shafts, one in this and one in the Cleveland Hy-wood, and so far happy with them after two rounds. They do feel pretty soft, like maybe I should have tipped them a touch more than the recommended amount for the 70R shafts.

I swap out a metal cut-off blade into my miter saw, use blue tape like everyone else, and always get clean cuts. It's the same blade I used to cut wrought iron balusters to length for my stairway railing.

Why are the 105 stiffs $19.95 and the 105 regulars $49.95? That would take a LOT of soft stepping to fit me.

My son hit a ball so badly this week that I don't know if the ball actually touched the face at all, just the crown, hard enough to still advance the ball 125 yards. Not a single mark, you wouldn't be able to tell where he hit it. The finish on this thing is impressive!

I thought they were rough on my hands and uncomfortable. I much prefer the Grip1 house brand grips from Golfworks. You can often get them in a buy 9/get 4 free deal, so similar prices to grips on Amazon.
