  1. You can always sell/trade it on the BST if it doesn't work out, you'll have no way of knowing if it's "the one" otherwise
  2. Rh 9* played one round and some range time off of plush mats with rubber tees. Ordered brand new from Callaway. Basically brand new. Stock weights of 9g and 4g. Headcover included. $410 shipped no trades
  3. Hit the Max again today. I brought my own more spinny ball in the Callaway Chrome Tour X. These really suit my eye at address and the feel is very good. With my ball, the spin was actually where I normally am with my ZXi7's. Hit them again side by side with i240 and T150 and liked the Max better in pretty much every regard. The cavity itself looks a little funky, but I think the address proportions look great. I think they look and feel better than my Srixons. I can see the chunky back on the 5 iron, but I like that.
  4. Man, now you got me thinking I could game a set of Blueprint T's 😂
  5. RH, played 2 rounds and some range time off of plush mats Diamana WB 83x Stock length and grip Ordered brand new from PING with no special instructions Not looking to split the head and shaft unless someone wants the shaft first Would trade for a GT280 head $400 shipped
  6. I have a set of P7CB's and and a mixed set of ZXi5/ZXi7. Generally, 7 iron is around 175 give or take.
  7. I hit the 4 iron yesterday, had the stock tour chrome 85s. Was looking for 215-220 carry and was getting 215 on slight mis-hits and 220 on good strikes. This will be a 4 iron replacement. Had a G440 4H and it spun and launched too much even in the big (-) setting and I could only get up to 212 carry on perfect strikes. Currently have a 4 iron but it is living around 206 carry when my 5 iron is 200. The shaft was a bit too light for my preference and I was overpowering it a bit and getting quick. Feel was great and the look is very confidence inspiring which is what I need in this spot. I hit the Titleist u250 as well and that was insanely good, too, but I am leaning toward the PIng ecosystem at the moment. I just placed an order for the IDI 4 with Axiom 105x red dot. Pricey experiment, but if it works out will open the door to a set of i240's that I don't need 😂
  8. Saw full set today. I think these look way better at address than the i230 with less grooves on the i240. The short iron shaping is really good. The short irons on the i200/i210/i230 were what I loved about those sets the most. Whereas most 'player's irons that have some tech actually lose all the tech in the 8-PW (T100/T150, Mizuno 243, etc) I always like the idea of the i-series having the same construction throughout the entire set. Also however, like i-series of the past couple iterations, the mid/long iron shaping is just ok for me. I think the cavity and overall package looks fantastic. I just wish $-tapers weren't a $50 per club upcharge, even Titleist isn't upcharging for those anymore...
  9. Hit this again today at the store, probably about 20 shots. Since I don't currently have a 3/4 wood I put in an order using trade in credit, I enjoyed hitting it so much. This thing is just so easy to hit and feels so satisfying to me. The numbers off the deck were great, plenty of launch and ballspeed and 3000-3400 spin. Not sure what the weights were set at and I was just hitting it with a hzrdus black 6.0, but I'm sure I'll find that ideal setting. I ordered it with a bread and butter Ventus Blue+ 7x.
  10. I was able to hit the 5, 7, 8 and 9 irons of the Max today at the store. The whole set was marked "demo" so I just went nuts. I love these irons. The feel is super soft and punchy. The proportions are great, they look very "player's' at address, but the topline and thicker sole really inspire confidence. I thought these were some of the easiest to hit irons I've tried in a while. The spin was a little low and they were about a club longer in the 7, 8 and 9 irons for me and about the same as my 5 iron (of which I currently have a zxi5 5 iron). So....look great, feel great, easy to hit....I will be tempted to try these with a weaker loft. I went into the store today wanting to look at the new Titleist irons and the i240's and I ended up liking these the best although everything out these days is really good.
  11. These were meant to be a Japan only release. Nobody plays golf left handed in Japan, they had zero reason to make a LH version when originally designed. In Japan if you are left handed they encourage you to be right handed.
  12. The X Forged Max give me serious Mizuno MP 53/54 vibes which were total sleepers back in the day.
  13. The 4 iron version of this looks really really friendly at address. Wasn't able to hit it, but I love the squat blade length and little bulge out the back.
