  2. This is exactly it. Offer all the crazy colors you want, but keep the core plain colors. I know they have their “no logo” versions in the regular hoofer, but now we need the same in the hoofer lite.
  3. I spray Scotch Each year I give my bag a deep clean and spray this on my golf bag. It has helped significantly with discoloration and staining.
  4. Agree with all your points. I'm eight years older than him with a house, a fantastic wife, a dog, loving family on both sides, my wife and I are professionals in the same field making more than the average, good retirement accounts, and we have hobbies. But life still happens: work, house repairs, chores, grocery shopping, auto maintenance, emergency vet visits, family issues, disagreements with each other, disagreements with others. When one of these things breaks down I cannot jump off the hamster wheel I'm on and go all hands on deck to address the issue. I still have to go to work, I still have to take care of the house and corresponding chores. I'm not naïve in thinking Scottie doesn't have any of these issues, but at age 29 he's been so successful he can jump off his hamster wheel at any time and address any single one of these issues without a single worry about the others. Problems at home? He can quit his job at any time (his words, not mine). Problems with family? Take whatever time off needed for however long you need and go handle it, his job (exemptions) will be waiting. Don't have enough time to juggle all the house chores and maintenance? Hire someone else to do it all. Most people have to handle all these things themselves, which takes time away from other pursuits and therefore makes maintaining those pursuits at a high level that much more difficult. I'd love to focus only on my family and my golf hobby, but I think as most of us know that's not real life. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does buy time, and time buys peace of mind. I'm really not trying to sound jaded or jealous at all and this is certainly not an indictment of what I perceive as my own personal shortcomings in this category. Scottie's outlook is an admirable one to have, but it's also easier to have given the position he is in. That said, I appreciate him saying it with such candor, and it further solidifies him as a really good guy out there. I'm happy success found someone like him.
  5. I think we may have found Wyndham's GolfWRX username. All of this exactly. Everyone gets angry sometimes, it happens. What 99.9999% of people don't do is destroy lockers like this. But if you find yourself in that 0.0001% that does, the immediate second you finish getting the steam out there should be a moment of clarity where you step back, take a look at your work, and go "well that's not my finest hour, time to go make this right." In that moment what you do is 1) find the locker room attendant, 2) show him what you did, 3) apologize and state you lost your cool, 4) take out your checkbook and write a blank check right then and there. After you do that, you don't leave the property until you've found the club president, apologized to him in person, and asked what else needs to be done to make it right. That lack of thought process is evidence enough to me, and I guess the Oakmont board, that unfortunately Wyndham's mind and anger management are not in a place where the vast majority of the population's are, and as such require professional evaluation.
  6. I agree with all you've said, but without the witty sarcastic jesting tone you’ve used to make light of the situation in an attempt to try and paint it as some absurd punishment for a small infraction. Guy has issues that need to be addressed. In this day and age I'm glad at least one institution has realized they have the power to punish someone who thinks they can get away with disrespectful conduct, and actually wield that power accordingly.
  7. Honestly I've been wanting to buy a new Ping bag for the past three years but each year I'm let down and disappointed in the colorways. There's only one colorway from the offerings this year I'd even remotely consider. Even then I've decided I'm not fully in love with it, it's just that I've only had terrible colorways to compare it to over the past three years so its the only one that looks remotely acceptable to me. And the feminine script boggles my mind. The "Blue Coral" color combination is probably the best one in this year's lineup, but the inclusion of that script makes it a complete no-go for me. But they have no issue putting the standard Ping script on the bright purple bag. Make it make sense. The only explanation I have is Ping doesn't like money so they make these color decisions that nobody has asked for. I'd look at other companies but Ping bags are the only ones I've ever used and their durability has always meant I get a solid 8 years out of a bag, and even then I only end up replacing them for sun fade.
