The new line of Scotty C. Phantom "Black Line" putters just arrived and I was able to roll some with 2 of the 4 models. My findings? ... they are very good looking putters with a little softer feel at impact compared to the standard Phantoms.

Of course my TA 845s's had Golf Pride green Victory grips on them. We didn't have too many options in grips back in those days. Several PGA Tour professionals used Tommy Armour 845 irons, most notably Davis Love III and Fred Couples. Jim Gallagher Jr. also played them. These irons were popular in the early 1990s, with many players using them, including Davis Love III's 1992 set which included the Ping Eye 2 wedges
