  1. WSJ said they sold 130K units last year
  2. The idea is if you have a crappy swing it's not going to get any better by learning how to swing faster with it. Instead focus on getting it on plane and eliminate the major flaws - THEN go to speed training. Getting rid of the major flaws will add speed by itself. Makes sense to me.
  3. You got me thinking on this one. I tend to agree. I'd love to hear some opposite perspectives.
  4. Still here. Still resent single golfers!
  5. I would also happily play the Accra. The difference between Accra and Gears is subtle feel difference. Not a performance difference. It comes down to personal preference.
  6. The sweeper head is a heavy head. When you pick up one with the steel shaft and hold it in the middle of the shaft it will bend a bit (if you raise it up and down). The Accra will as well, but less than the steel. And the Gears will bend less than the Accra. I feel a little bit of release with the Accra. Like when you are using an iron with a soft tip. Not a lot, but a bit more than with the Gears. It rolls softer. That's about the extent of it.
  7. This has been my experience as well. I have only tried the steel, Accra and Gears with sweepers. My current Mezz Max sweeper has the Gears and I really like it. Putting with a Pro V1 is notably mushier than with a Pro V1x. Also, the comment about "putters having only a certain number of putts. Then you have to buy more." Spot on!
  8. I'm still sticking with PGA being the worst.
  9. Fair criticism, but Masters is #1 by FAR
  10. I know, but when half the field is virtually eliminated due to its tee times it stinks.
  11. I dont think the courses are trash. The only con is I feel there's a lot left to chance. Bad tee time, bad bounces etc. That's true of all majors, but more so with the Open.
  12. At the time (about 20 years back) they were. See T.C. Chen at the US Open at Oakland Hills.
