  1. I can, but not consistently. Working with my coach in a few weeks to try to narrow down the long game, as it's what cost me unfortunately. I've got the ~230 trusty straight ball down with my hybrid, but need to get the 3w (and driver) in a better spot for normal swings and the straight ball.
  2. This is now the second time I've heard this, is it the greens or other areas?
  3. Sounds like you're playing exactly how you're supposed to, conservative targets into greens when there is danger around. Attack when under 130 ish and then more conservative as you get further away. 10-30 foot putts are really good positions to be in on many holes out there. I listened to some good podcasts from The Sweet Spot, and spent time studying PGA average proximity from various yardages, and that certainly helped my expectations. It also sounds like you're just being harder on yourself than you need to be. I learned when my expectations were in line, I was happier more with how I played.
  4. I am headed there in a few weeks, and I've done a ton of research. There are also some good info in other threads and in the Rockies section. We are playing: Black Desert, Sand Hollow, Copper Rock in St George Coyote Springs, Casablanca, and Wolf Creek in Mesquite. - We would have done Conestoga, but they are closed the day we want to play. Casablanca isn't ideal either but it's the only course with afternoon tee times in the summer. In St. George, our backup course was Coral Canyon and Green Spring based on everything I have read. St. George has some awesome courses, that I would personally want to branch out and see and not just play Sand Hollow that many times. Black Desert has gotten amazing reviews, and if you are worried about three tee times back to back you could always try to play there in the afternoon. They open non-resort guest bookings 30 days in advance. I know April is their busy time, but I would think you would at least be able to get on in the afternoon. I just did the 30 day in advance booking for Black Desert for mid-August, which sure is the hot season, but only a couple tee times were taken before noon. I was easily able to get back to back slots in a prime morning. You can always keep a time booked somewhere else just in case of a backup. The LPGA is at Black Desert the first of MAy so that may limit your chances, who knows. You may get bored playing there 3 times I'd also look at Copper Rock, right near Sand Hollow and holds an Epson Tour event. Seems good from all I've read.
  5. Yes, they've been honestly very good the last 8 months. I haven't been in a few weeks, but I was out there in mid-to-late June and they were awesome.
  6. It really is a cool layout. Dallas has some awesome layouts with Cedar Crest, Tenison Highlands, and Steven's Park. Just need the greens at Steven's and Tenison to round into shape and it's an awesome trio.
