I was one of those people haha! It's fun to make predictions and then come back to see what you were right or wrong about.

Only took 2 months for him to prove me wrong about winning an Open Championship 😂 Somebody else guessed he would stay at 3 Majors and they were already proved wrong as well haha This guy is so damn good. I might have to change my prediction to 10+ Majors.

Louis Oosthuizen also won by 7 at St Andrews in 2010. Almost identical scoring too.

Shane Lowry won by 6 at this same course in 2019. Similar scores too.

Shane Lowry is -5 through 13 so there could potentially be a really low score out there. Still have hope for my boy Rory but it's gonna take a special round to beat Scottie from 6 back. Ernie Els overcame that exact deficit in 2012 so it's possible.

Rory shot a course record 61 at Portrush when he was only 16 so it's still possible! Long shot for sure but the last golfer with a 4 shot lead that I can remember at the Open was my boy Adam Scott and I think Ernie Els came from 6 back to win out of nowhere. Same amount of strokes that Rory is behind Scottie right now

Nobody is talking about him with a sneaky first round -1 but I still believe my boy Tony Finau can win a Major! Would be absolutely stoked if he won the Claret Jug this week.

Lee Westwood would break Phil's record for the oldest player to ever win a Major at 52 years old if he goes on to win!

Maybe I'm just a history nerd but to me it's not about the celebration - it's about going down in Golf history forever. Scottie's name will still be on those trophies for centuries after he's gone. Among the select few golfers who will never be forgotten. I get what he's trying to say as a young father myself and it's very commendable that he wants to be remembered as a family man and not a golfer - but this is why I cheer more for a guy like Rory McIlroy who talks so much about the history of the game and what it means to him.

I'm probably the only American that prefers the Open Championship to the US Open. I love the history and links golf so much. So excited for this one.

Cool to see Rosey shoot a 63 today. Would really love to see him win the Open next week. That one means the world to him and he deserves it.
