It’s four-lane from Halifax to Truro. It appears to be a normal two-lane hwy once you exit near Truro and then smaller country roads approaching the coast. Traffic won’t be an issue anywhere you’re going. Even rush-hour in Halifax is pretty good.

Courses should be in good shape in Oct — although since the end of the season is approaching you may run into greens being punched. As to which courses, it all depends on where in the the GTA you’re staying. Traffic is usually horrendous no matter what day or time so that’s a factor to consider.
