I have used the R+ and they are as stout as any S shafts I've used. Robin Arthur told me the R+ plays more like Stiff and S+ plays more like TS or X. I soft stepped the RT 105 R+ in the TS1-IM and it felt as stable if not more so than the Recoil 110 F4 I have used in my other irons. The Maltby irons do have a BBGM nearly 1/2" less than my other irons so that could be part of it too. I am not a big hitter though, 8i ~ 150 yards, so others may disagree.
