Last 3 rounds I have been +SG (relative to scratch) off the tee. Small sample obviously but I just feel so much more comfortable with the driver in particular. By no means do I think I'm "fixed" but feels great to see the light coming Biggest difference is the reduced anxiety especially off the tee. I was a basket case at my worst literally driving it like a 10 handicap. Back to work though

What’s your height and what’s your swing speed?

5'11" 56 years old Max Speed 110-112 in simulator Cruising speed on golf course ~104/105 Working on increasing both and narrowing gap between two as much as possible -
Introduced a foam ball this evening. Predictably extension returned a bit. Though I “think” I had a bit less extension on the backswing and been conscious of less pelvic rotation IMG_9048.mov

On this we agree

Well I don’t like trad stats in any sport generally but I guess a better way of stating it is poor GIR doesn’t really reveal what a players issues are. Could be driving, could Be Iron play it, of course, could be both But that’s just my bias on it I suppose
-
FWIW these counting stats are fairly worthless at least to understand where your shortcomings are relative to a population of scratch golfers. In particular, total putts and GIR are really bad metrics and don't tell you much about your game at all. I would echo what @Scottbox said about understanding and using some sort of SG approach if you are really trying to get materially better

I find the new app interface and data sorting fairly terrible. This is my 4th year using GolfMetrics and it's borderline unusable now. I gave it a few months figuring i would get used to it but I haven't. The ability to just see rounds from this year or after XYZ date is just not intuitive at all. I'll not be renewing which sucks with all the data that's in there

Tried to get less in my heels too

Still trying to focus on this feel (I played 2x this weekend so I didn’t think abt these mechanics) not sure if this is getting me there or not but starting to feel the difference IMG_9037.mov

Boy this is as hard as it looks. At least for me. Obv not an overnight fix. From lunch session today really focused on it IMG_9020.mov

Yeah thanks. Good visual

Yeah the bolded is certainly interesting. The first time you said it I wasn't really comprehending but I see what you are saying. Sometimes I am dense. Thanks

sure but if you see prior positions up thread it was so bad that I just need to see what it looks and feels like even before I introduce the ball

Also I’ve lost 40 lbs since COVID and good lord I don’t want to see those pics at all

Crazy how much I feel like I’m not EE but still am. What I thought was a really good swing but still not even close yet. That said this is light years better than where I was so after 10 days I’m ok with it. Can actually see some space now tried to get out of the heels and more into balls of my feet here. Still not hitting balls yet or at least very few i think generating width is still lacking and not sure I’m shallowing the club enough?? IMG_9007.mov

I have used it for about 3 years. Sometimes religiously other times less so. I'll echo what others have said. There is a risk of getting out of sequence particularly if you already have some swing flaws (see my thread in Instruction). I have a tendency to swing with the arms from the top and I think using the app and program exacerbated this for me. I'm not blaming the product just what my experience is/was. I am not currently using it though I may go back and be more conscious of it. I would pick up 3-5 MPH in most of the programs. For example, the last one I did was Full Speed Spectrum and went from 108mph to 112mph. So it works. Like anything else if you stop working it your speed will suffer. I'm currently maxing out ~110 with cruising speed of about 103/104 on the course. Right now I am just doing 2 sessions per week on a Trackman just swinging a normal club with intent. I get a full warm up and then hit a block of 25-50 ball as hard as I can. Quit after I see 3 consecutive balls more than 3 mph below my average. That seems to be working too

Yes I noticed still some EE. Still work in process obv. Agree weight is prob back too much
-
No doubt

A week of doing the protocol. Looks better. Still working on width and shadowing but looks and feels much better. This was not yet hitting a ball Also Need to work on clearing my lead hip better on the way down. I don’t use the front foot very well yet IMG_8993.mov

See above
-
Perhaps so. I “feel” like I get far too narrow from the top and never really have much width if i can find a driver swing it is exacerbated significantly

Pivot needs some work...very steep from the top. Tend to be quick in transition which leads to disconnect between upper and lower body
