I believe Marty Jertson of PING stated that larger driver heads can be harder to square up at impact for a lot of golfers. I do think there's something to this.

I like Brooks, but he doesn't deserve to be on this team.

He's definitely playing like a champion today. I would be surprised if he doesn't take it given the current form he's in, but still a lot of golf to play.

Came here to post this. Ping, TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway and to a somewhat lesser degree Cobra seem to get all the attention when it comes to drivers and FW metals. Companies like Mizuno and Srixon fly under the radar being overshadowed by the above. The good news is that brands like Mizuno and Srixon can represent a really good deal, especially in the used market or as new models come out. I got a STZ-220 driver head for a steal as a result.

🙋 Bought one a couple of years ago to have a driver that mimicked the forgiveness of my wife's G400 Max driver, and the STZ-220 doesn't disappoint. It took a bit of experimenting to find a shaft that I got along with in this driver head, but I think I finally settled on a Fubuki V. This thing is so incredibly forgiving and easy to hit, it'll be in the bag for a while.
