At the beginning of this season, I purchased a Garmin watch with the ability to track club distances. Ive finally reached the point where I have enough rounds to get solid data. The results were a bit eye opening.
Is data from a Garmin watch reliable enough to make ewuipment decisions? Ot should I book a couple simulator sessions to confirm?

My observations are 1) I dont hit a 5 iron well. 2) not much of a 7-8 iron gap. 3) a fairly large gap between PW and 9 iron.
Looking for thoughts on how to improve the gapping for example is there an option (maybe 6 hybrid) that could fill the gap? Loft changes?
For reference, I just purchased a new set of Srixon ZX4 irons before the start of the season. I hit the irons, but didnt go through formal fitting process and didnt check distances.
