I love that you had a great experience. I actually picked up each of the range practice balls when we were there. I just found them so cool and the full experience of tags and volunteers etc. And that is my point, it is such a wonderful experience for the kids. The hospitality and the competition, that the qualification should be a two round cut off. I don’t care that much about the WAGR exemptions and the ppl traveling to other states. The field is the strongest there is in junior golf but it is top heavy. A 36 round qualifier would just create more competition for the middle of the field. FWIW - I still have the range practice balls!!

I do not see your posts as relevant to the topic. And frankly most the parent here are pretty well grounded and not off the boat. There is frustration with WAGR ranking due to manipulation and the 1 round qualification. This is the most important and frankly most enjoyable junior tournament. The USGA does a fantastic job and the kids feel so special. We missed out this year. Lost to a couple of birdies in a playoff. It is what it is but this tournament deserves a 2 round qualifying.

I agree. This should be a 2 round/stage qualifying. That is my biggest frustration with this tournament. A two round qualifying would make this field so much stronger and not top heavy.
