  1. I'm one of those guys who is intrigued by pin placements, when I play a nice course with tiered greens and see 12-14 in the front and a few scattered it bugs me. To me 6-6-6 front, middle and back is the right combo. Left, center, and right sides if possible. Combinations are endless. I'm know it's grunt work and did it for a few weeks, years ago to help out a short staffed crew.
  2. No black shaft.... No comments. I'll buy the 5.2 Austie, I love the contrast.
  3. Nothing to do with driving in France... Clubs fit fine in the Tahoe and or Silverado. I never take my clubs when auto shopping because I need a lot of space for usually hauling nothing.
  4. Well blimey.... my G430 Max goes further and straighter than all of them. And I tested them all last spring ; )
  5. So that's where all my old iron sets went....
  6. You must be one thin dude.... Or do you crawl out the back ? : )
  7. Next time I see this guy ill take a photo... Not kidding, line strung across his cart top and has at least a dozen gloves hanging up there. Yes, the humiture is 100-110° around here.
  8. Pulling for Leonard but happy with Paddy as the Champion. Sunningdale is a truly great course. Appreciate your coverage IBanesto. 👍
  9. Watched the last two rds on TV, what a great course Sunningdale is, membership there would be pretty nice. More than a few G430-40 drivers hiding under other OEM head covers on all pro tours lately. Love mine.
  10. This is how good Iomic putter grips are... I pull the Scotty Cameron grip off every SC putter I've owned and installed a Iomic grip. I have no idea which model that is in your post. ☺
  11. Agree...... I would seriously consider ending my beloved Scotty Cameron affiliation with a LAB-ification, the Odyssey intrusion was bad enough.
  12. My wife loves Paddy..... Say's he talks like he has a mouth full of Lucky Charms. lol
  13. Purchased a Ping G430 12° head, Ping Alta 65g 3 wood shaft, put a 18g weight in the draw position. The easiest 210-220 yd don't have to swing out of your shoes middle of the fairway club ever invented. It's only 20-30 yds shorter than my driver. Tight tee shots, short courses..... MONEY💯
  14. Yes, let a pro club builder do it. Don't take it to a box store and let some kid OJT it.
  15. Well, we don't play every day.... ; )
  16. The correct answer is the player. Not driving it well, not hitting greens, not getting up and down, too many 3 putts. It's all operator errors.
  17. Not me... LAB putters are atrocious and my Newport 2 gets better looking every day. All OEM's have their " WTH were they thinking " putter or two.
  18. Watched a lot of the Open, Royal Portrush is a great course, a few holes remind me of Chambers Bay. Blows away St Andrews for viewing on tv.
  19. I occasionally play golf with guys who have no idea where the ball went. I notice after a few swings their head is down and eyes still looking at the point of contact. No natural rotation or release, just a fake finish. We don't have to be Anika Sorenstam but having playing partners be your personal ball spotter can't be fun either for the whole round.
  20. No one is copying them because they probably have a patent on the design. Cobra had a similar configuration on a few of their driver heads. They frame the ball nicely before launch, not that big of deal looks wise.
  21. Larry said.... " sure the hat looks stupid but I get free appliances for the next 10 years."
  22. Had this happen the other day.... Got paired up with a couple guys walking and it was "cart path only" because we had a lot of rain the day before. Come to a hole with a blind tee shot it's up and over small hill back down to a pond fronting the green. I volunteer to walk the 100 yds up to watch these two clowns in a cart ahead of us, thinking by the time I get there they will be around the pond and we can tee off. I stand there and see they are both still in their cart, finally one gets out and walks over and chunks his 90 yd shot into the pond, throws down another and does it again, yells at his buddy to toss him another ball, he gets it over into the hay behind the hole. I start to turn around to walk back and the other guy gets out of the cart and strolls over to his ball along the tree line 30 yds left of where his buddies ball was. So we'll file this under "sorry, but it is pace of play." lol
  23. Obvious omission, you see a lot of Ping drivers under head covers who aren't Callaway and TM players.
  24. Here is the WRX member\non-member corporate line... The Ping is more forgiving, the TM is a little longer. I play the G430 Max, if I ever switched to a TM driver it would be the Sim 2. Put them down side by side you will notice the Ping is a stretched chassis, the TM more square. Which suits your eye ? Both are great drivers.
  25. The replies are hilarious. From "Claire, is that your first beer" to Rahm being described as an Albanian jewel thief. lol
