Old thread, but I'll follow up with my experience. Just got fitted for the new Titleist T100, and the DG MID flew noticeably lower with 500-700 RPM less spin than the regular DG I was playing. I asked the fitter why the discrepancy. He mentioned that just because a shaft is labeled as a mid launch DOES NOT mean that the apex will be higher. While standard DG will launch lower, it will likely spin higher resulting in a higher ball flight. I was perplexed, but I guess it makes sense. Either way, the numbers and visual difference does not lie. Just thought I'd give my example.
