I was really surprised by it. I went from 109 too end speed (GCQ numbers) to 125. And some of it stuck, even now I can get to 119 if I’m really going after it. wild to hear about some of the guys here cruising in the mid 120’s and pushing it 130+…I could only dream

Haha it’s 2025, don’t assume my gender 😂🤣 Pre kids it was speed training 3-4 days/week. Post kids I’m lucky to pick up a club once a week, and speed training 😂 no chance

@phizzy30 @PNW thanks for the info! I think I’d rather start with the proto as it’s a bit less $$, and if it’s not right go for the velo+ black. As for the current shaft, it’s a Recoil Dart 105x. The stock shaft for a P-UDI

I really like the feel of KBS tours and $ tapers so Proto really has my interest peaked

Digging up an old one here! Just picked up a UDI Bomber and the stock Dart 105x feels like a wet noodle. Been looking into VF UT, velo+ black 10x, Axiom 105x and KBS proto. Pretty much just need it as a 1 trick pony off the tee, low runner to keep under the wind or if driver will be too much club. Could you compare any of these you have experience with?

A cord user here too, they are just so damn firm. I’m still pretty young at 36 so no aches or pains. Thinking of maybe going to a BCT Midsize though for just a little more dampening while stills corded grip. Maybe try them out?

I agree completely, but I seem to get a little better ball speed with the looser shaft. The forgiveness of the LST makes up for the bit of inconsistency due to the less stable shaft. im seeing ball speeds in the upper 170’s with the tour black. I haven’t seen those numbers in a couple years…since before children 😂

Was wondering if the Taylormade P-UDI has a .355 or .370 hosel. interested in either a VF UT 105x or a Ventura black 10x for a “bomber” I was able to get my hands on. Stock dart is a little on the loose side. the UT is .355 and I’ll have to get shims if it’s a .370 hosel. Side bar, anyone have any feedback on the VF UT or Ventus HB shafts?

I disagree that 243’s are similar. They’re great clubs but not similar in my opinion. 243’s in lower lofts (all I can directly compare) have more offset, look larger and are not as soft feeling. I have a 241/3 combo set in the classifieds…cobra mb/king tour knocked em out of the bag. Less offset all around just suits my eye. Both sets are 6-pw 241/MB and 4-5 KT and 243

I’m a member of the USGTF so I ordered through our rep. did 6-p mb’s and king tours 4-5 standard length, 1° flat 1° weak in tours black heads and black $tapers

nice setup! I have a rough time with fairway woods, spin them a ton. I also never use them into greens, always off the tee so figured I’d give a low lofted iron a shot. tough to find those TMB’s now in real good shape, they’re pretty old at this point.

Just had our second son, need to clear out some items and could use some $$ I believe I’ve priced them reasonably, if you disagree send an offer. Have some driver shafts, all callaway tips all play 44.75 Graphite Design GC 6x - untipped, played 1 round $210 shipped Ventus TR Black 6x - tipped 1/2 in, played 10ish rounds (1 year for me)- $180 shipped Accra RPG tour 472 M5+ untipped, 1 used for 1, maybe 2 rounds - currently no adapter but can put on callaway or Mizuno - $250 shipped Mitsubishi WB 73 TX untipped, played couple rounds with it - $old Bushnell Prox3+ rangefinder - used maybe 10 rounds, prefer app - $old OG paradym strong 3 wood - kai’li white 70x. Small dummy mark from attempting shot I had no business taking- SOLD Mizuno STG 440 head or combo with shaft. Mint Condition, hit maybe 20 balls with it- head $100 shipped Mizuno 241/243 combo set- 6-p 241 4-5 243’s KBS Tour 130x standard LLL played about 10 rounds with them, great clubs and in great shape. seeing online anywhere from 700-980 used. Looking to get $840 shipped

Thanks for the info! I bought the “bomber” for a fair price, haven’t gotten it yet. In true WRX fashion, already looking for other options “just in case” and really like the look of the TMB. Found a TMB 2 iron that is tempting me for sure. This may have put me over the edge 😂 I also had a g410 crossover but the offset is too much for me. decisions decisions

Hey guys, anyone play or try both of these? What are the differences and similarities? also, anything other than cosmetic differences between PUDI and “the bomber” looks like they call the bomber a 1 iron but loft wise they seem the same. thanks for the help!

So ended up playing with hosel settings on the 430 lst . Flat -1 setting and it’s a game changer. Soon could be a little lower (that’s being SUPER nitpicky) but launch is good. Hard to decouple those 2 so def god with the way it is. I have quite a few aftermarket shafts, AD GC 6x, Ventus TR black 6x, Ventus velo+ red 6x, Diamana WB 73TX and a RPG tour gold 472 M5+. I gotta say, the ping tour black 2.0 might be my favorite. Gonna give it another week or so and if nothing changes, all those shafts are going for sale. I can’t believe I’d say that as a typical WRX’er but the numbers and don’t lie. anyone else like the ping shafts?

I tried the CT TD, was hoping they would be for me but too much spin in the mid irons unfortunately. Srixons flat out perform, the seam issue still pops up though and that bothers me. you have any experience with TP5x’s?

You’re probably not around about the spin….the stability of the spin likely helps with the straight flight. I was messing around with left dash yesterday. I can rotate between XV, LD and chrom tour with fairly similar numbers at the top end of the bag, just wedges and short irons for me tha show the most separation spin wise. I’ll switch up depending on course or weather conditions. Would probably be better to just stay with one ball but can’t help myself sometimes

So I caved and bought a G430 lst 9° with tour chrome 75x shaft. Came in today and was able to hop on the sim and get some ball and club data. overall this thing is stupid forgiving compared to my smoke TD. It does spin a bit high, but it’s so straight I’m willing to give up distance. Thinking of trying a couple shafts out to see if I can get the spin down a bit as I was averaging around 2800-2900 at 170 ball speed and 11ish launch. even if I can just get it down to 2500 I’d be thrilled because of how neutral an consistent the ballflight was. thought of potentially turning it down but I don’t really want to open the face up any more…but maybe I’ll experiment a little
