I just don’t know how you can be a golf person and not find the way Scottie works the ball to be mesmerizing. In a world of bomb and gougers, Scottie is hitting slingshot draws, power cuts that start OB and somehow end up in perfect position, and flighted wedges to pinpoint precision. And he’s doing this under the most immense pressure imaginable. Yesterday he hit a 7 iron on a par 3 with a 4 iron trajectory. Why? Because he has that shot.

Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are two of the dullest professional golfers ever, both on the course and off, and yet they somehow escaped the “boring” label. They’re “killers.” Make it make sense!

Probably a good area for rules modernization when the movement is so minor that the player reasonably could not have seen it and did not materially change the lie. Give the player a penalty for moving the ball, but not a second for failing to replace.

Lowry assessed a 2-stroke penalty, per the internet. That's just brutal luck. He wasn't even swinging close to his ball, wasn't looking at his ball, and was only "caught" because a camera happened to be zoomed in. That same thing probably happened a dozen times on the course today, but nobody was there to see it.
