This is where most minimalist start I believe. Next chose your next yardage gap like 100-125 yards. Pick one club for that gap, then another, then another.........Next thing you know you're using only 8 clubs or so. Welcome to the revolution. -

My current minimalist setups range from 8-10 clubs, however I recently played in a 3 club tourney and scored within a few shots of my usual score. Nice set-up by teh way. -

I've seen a few guys who play driver and irons. Modern utility irons in 2 thru 4 are a decent option.
