  1. Honestly a 13.5 mini driver would do exactly what you want. I use it in my walking bag with a 5 wood as my other wood at 17.5. Budget wise your thinking make sense. Another way I like to think about it is I'm taking options away and by that I'm not second guessing myself on tee shots. I use 12 clubs in my walking bag dith a lob wedge and ditch a 3 wood. It makes golf "boring" and more fun if that makes sense. I use the callaway mini for people saying it is more of a tee only one I can see your point, but it is not hard at all to hit off the deck. I have done so multiple times and It has out performed my expectations. The brnr never felt good to me off the face and when I hit this it was instant gratification. I'm not overswinging and i'm getting easy fades and draws while limiting my misses. I'm giving up maybe 15 yards on a pure struck driver. To me it makes sense. Main bag I don't use a 3 wood I use the driver and honestly will lean on the mini more times than not.
  2. I personally found the 225 to be too long. I would be over shooting greens and catching fliers. From my understanding they are making their irons more compact, but not less forgiving. For me the mp 18 line was a solid all arounder. I now play the mp 18 mb 4-pw in my walking bag, but i used the sc, mmc and the flihi from that line as well. I just bought the pro s3 and found them to be more forgiving then you would think. I have a soft spot for the mp 53 as that was my first set of mizunos and I loved them. I will also throw in I have bought and sold 4 sets of mp 14s whenever I feel like I want to go back to blades and just have fun. I tried some ping irons this past year and will not do that again you cannot beat the mizunos on feel and quality.
  3. I know I just saw those drop and pulled the trigger on the s3 a couple of weeks back. I still have a set of mp 18 if I need a "pure blade" feel. The S1 look fantastic.
  4. I tee mine lower for sure I'm prone to popping it up if I get to high on my tee height
  5. Mate I'm lucky if I don't buy two putters a season.
