Anything with a symbol left of the model number of the ball means less. If to the right means more.
2025 version across the board launch a tick lowers, better wind performance than 2023 models from my experience. If you look at the dimples you can see how much more aggressive the edge angles are.
Hightest to Lowest Launch CPO:
Prov1x RIght Plus (+) great for players whose initial launch and spin is low, and needs to raise their peak height.
(-) Left Dash is great for players who like prov1x, but need slightly lower peak height. Live in between prov1x/prov1.
Left Dot Prov1 (*) great for players who launch it high and spin it high, and needs lower their peak height. Lives near AVX on this chart
Most players live between prov1 & prov1x based on their ballspeed, loft at impact and angle of attack.
Most golf balls either peak higher and therefore later in flight (prov1x like balls) or peak lower and sooner in flight (prov1 like balls).
Peaks more downrange and higher:
Prov1x (+) > Prov1x 2023 > Prov1x 2025 > (-) Prov1x
Notice the gap between prov1x 2023 and left dash, this is where the new 2025 prov1x lives. A lot of people wanted left dash for the wind performance, but really they need more of a prov1x 2023 performance so that's why I believe they design the 2025 prov1x to live in between these two balls and be better in the wind.
Peaks closer to you and lower:
Prov1 Left Dot ~ AVX > Prov1 2025 > Prov1 2023
