Going to play the following around Gloucester UK in august; Kington Minchinhampton Old Painswick Cleeve Hill All are in the English Top 200 with Kington and Cleeve Hill being in the Top 100. Total green fees for the trip is £137. Fantastic value. 😎

I've just bought this, my game is really improving having come down from 11 to 6 this year. But feel like I push/pull putts when under a bit of pressure to hole a 4-6 footer. Putting has never been a strong part of my game but since getting a Lab DF2.1 a couple years ago the improvement has been vast. Having said that I could do with trying to improve my stroke and will be interested to see if these work out well. I chose these because they are easy to get out on the practice green and carry in my bag. Will update as I go along. Anyone using these still and getting results on the course?

If you are going to hit some in a bay then definitely try the Srixon ZX at 13°. I only use it off the deck, even when on the tee, it is an absolute rocketship! Best 3 wood I've ever had tbh.

Not sure about drivers but I took a chance on a ZX Mkii 3+ fairway wood at an end of line sale and it's easily the best 3 wood I've ever had. My BRNR Mini driver was too one dimensional for my liking so I decided I would be better off with a strong 3W. Did some research and read that this club is meant to be a cannon so I decided to give it a try since the price was so good. It is an absolute cannon, I only hit ot off the deck even when on the tee and it just goes forever! I hit my best ever 3 wood shot, maybe even fw shot, ever with it and it just continues to impress me. Nowadays I only use driver on holes where I know the additional distance is worth the reduced level of accuracy. Definitely one of the best chances I've taken, I'm sure it'll stay in the bag for a long time.

Indeed we played Appleby 2 years ago and I really enjoyed it. The Bell hole is fantastic! Course was empty so we played it twice, nearly birdied the first time and then left it down the hill on the right the second! I think it has been cleared this year, we were also there towards the end of last summer last year. Was very tough, I lost 7 balls! Despite that I still had the best score in my group on the day! Haha You are lucky to be a member, it's definitely one of my favourite courses I've played.

Haven't updated in quite a while! Last year's trip to Carus Green, Seascale and Silloth on Solway was fantastic. Carus Green was OK, I'm not sure I'd play it again tbh. I've talked about Seascale before here, I always enjoy playing there. Silloth was stunning. You drive for ages to the extreme north west corner of England and reach this temple of golf, the final outpost before crossing the Solway into Scotland. We were lucky to play on a sunny day, I remember parking the car up and going to the clubhouse which has these big windows looking out onto the course. It was incredibly beautiful, just raw rugged terrain with a golf course running through. Even just sitting there waiting to play was building the excitement! Haha Genuinely I loved it, one of my favourite courses I've ever played. The layout, some of the blind shots, the incredible beauty and views. I'd love to go back and play again. 100%, even in terms of limited edition merch, wish the other OEMs would wake up and take note. I've ended up putting a TM headcover on my Srixon! 🙆🏽‍♂️
