  1. I dont thinks it's necessarily boring. But he so so damn focused on scoring and not making mistakes so ita hard for me to relate to him. I would love to have that sort of focus and determination to play well and score. Yes so for me it's not so much boring as it's just annoying. I like to see these guys make incredible shots etc. But watching highlights from shorties final round, he made a bunch of huge putts. Juat awesome.
  2. I believe the jpx923 forged stock loft on gw is 49, I had it bent to 48. I do realize it's not just the club loft that affects distances. I am working very hard on using practice swings to get a feel for turf interaction, swing path and tempo. I have pretty much decided to really scale back my swing effort. I am truly committed to making an easy smooth swing and living with my distances. I like all my distances except for the gw. I am going to work on it a bit, but in mean time I am looking for a mizuno s23 in 48 deg. When I am inside 80 yards I pretty much use my 56° sand wedge. I feel pretty good about all my distances, just never been happy with gw.
  3. I have been playing the maxfli tour s in both 2023 and 2025 versions. I kinda like the 23 version more, but not enough to make a difference. Comfortable with either. I have played the last 3 rounds or so with the 2025 tour x. I feel like its longer off tee and defintely checks better on short pitches and chips. I am not sure tour x is appreciable all that different but I do plan to stick with it for a while. I feel better with X for short game, long onions and drivers not sure yet.
  4. I already adjusted gw from 49 down to 48. I just went through entire bag weighing the clubs and made some minor adjustments to to weights. I am going to work on gw for a few more range sessions and rounds. In mean time I am looking for a mizuno s23 in 48° to slide in between my 44° pw and my 52° s23. I have a few sets of wedges, s23 in 54 and 58 as well as the 60 that I used to play in my bag. I took it out for the 4i. I am pretty good with 56 for short chips Lobs and sand shots. I really dont feel like I need anything higher then 56° Not going to give up on set gw yet, too much work, has matching shafts and grips which are almost brand new.
  5. I hit 52° about 90 yards with full easy swing. I just want a 48° clubs between my pw at 44 and my s23 at 52.
  6. I play mizuno jpx923 forged irons. 4-gw. I had some of my lofts corrected and adjusted to suit my gapping needs. I seam to have a problem with my gw. I had it bent to 48deg from stick 49deg. I like about 4deg between clubs. At any rate, I am not happy with distance i get from this club. I hit pw around 120 with a smooth easy swing. Same swing with gw should be around 100 or so but I always , always end up short. Weather is try to flight it or not, it just seams like the club is dead. I added some lead tape to head to see if I can get a better feel for it. I play some mizuno s23 wedges after my set gw. Pw 44 jpx923 forged Gw 48 jpx923 forged Aw 52/10 s23 Sw 56/12 s23 I am thinking about getting rid of my set gw and picking up an s23 48deg wedge. I really like the way the s23 wedges feel and perform. Seriously also considering getting a new set of mizuno t3 wedges.
