I was expecting a relaxed vibe, but not a Lord of the Flies tee sheet, WTF. If they would have done it by registration, maybe. But "who wants to go first?" Is not my idea of a fun outing with 120+ MFers.

Imagine it, then x10. I didn't head over to the first tee until just before 5 because I hadn't heard any updates and was waiting to hear tee assignments. I wondered over to the practice green and holy hell. Then they pulled up the golf cart that had the speakers blaring music and tried to announce the start by yelling over the awful music from the tee box. I couldn't hear anything at first.

Well, that was a hot mess. 🤣 It ended up being over 120 people, it wasn't shotgun start and they were trying to get all 120 folks to tee off from one in groups of 4, first come first served. They didn't even start until 5:30, I left after the second group. They said it was 9 holes played best ball. Then at the start they said it would be scramble style. There was no way in hell 120 people teed off in time to finish before dark. I apparently don't "get it" either, wow. I didn't partake in any of the various beverages, electrolyte gels and nicotine pouches they were handing everyone either.

I still have no idea what it's about or what's involved, I just know check in is at 4:10 and shotgun start at 5:10 with sundown at 8:10. Anybody have any idea what it is? I know it's up to 100 players somehow all playing best ball. I guess if nobody knows, I will update this on Friday. But inside info would be awesome. <edit> I know it's also 9 holes on an 18 hole course.

Dammit, I wish there was one near me so I could score some of these, the reviews have been great.

I've only hit about a dozen on the range and I'm very happy. I need to change the grip, but the club feels great.

I got 2 shafts for $70 or something from AliExpress. One Autoflex and one Velocore Black 6S. I've been gaming the Velocore for a while, but I had out the Autoflex in the Srixon ZX5 I had and it was glorious. So a few weeks ago I put it in the Haywood. My grouping is tight and I'm hitting 4/7 fairways now and my misses are just a few yards, not woods deep.

I've been considering joining the Amateur Players Tour here in Portland, then I try the course the next tournament is on and it's awful 🤣 I also put myself on a very tight budget, so I haven't bought anything (except that sweet Nike 5 wood I scored) so I haven't posted much. I'm still lurking, especially this thread, so much gold in here. There have been some sweet new blades, too. I hate not spending stupid money. I have gotten some great comments on my Skully blades. I did the PXG Black Ops challenge with my Haywood and fake Autoflex shaft. The Black Ops with Velocore+ was epic, but it was also $750 after my hero discount. Considering my setup was $380, I think I'm good. It wasn't THAT much better. But homeboy was admiring the skullies. He said he wished he could hit lefty so he could try them.

I've been without a 5 wood for some time and I put myself on a tight budget this year. I have never tried the Nike Vapor woods, but heard they were really good. This was on eBay from Global Golf and when I watched it, they sent me an offer I couldn't refuse. 🤣

This is why I want to see it in the theater. My home setup isn't what it used to be.
