  1. Scottie sucked all the excitement from yesterday's final round, but not because he's dull or boring, simply because he was head and shoulders above everyone else. He knew exactly what he had to do, and is good enough to execute it flawlessly. He didn't need exciting golf, he was that far ahead. As for him lacking character on the course, it's his day job, he's a golfer, not a stand up comedian. If I'm playing a comp even I am far more 'serious' than when batting it round with my mates. And that's at the lowest level of golf going. I can forgive him for just getting on with the job in hand when an Open is at stake.
  2. On the flip side tiger had the body of a 55 year old by the time he was in his mid 30s. All but 1 of his majors was won by the time he was 34. Imagine the number he'd have got to if his leg/spine/divorce scandal hadn't hindered him So if Scotty can remain healthy his career is likely going to be longer I don't think he'll make 15 however. I reckon he may get 10 if he has the motivation to keep practicing
  3. Whilst I'm sure grant makes a good living, I doubt he make 5m from views alone. As for the other less well known golf youtubers. I have a friend who does youtube lifestyle blogs. She has well over half a mil subscribers and certainly doesn't make enough out of it for it to be her sole income.
  4. I watch alot of YouTube golf and have seen alot of Grant's stuff. Got to say I'm disappointed by this. Firstly did he seriously think he'd be allowed to film his round? If so he's getting above his station. He clearly could have still made a great video based around his experience and the outcome, but for whatever reason he didn't Grant always harks on about how grateful he is to his subscribers/fans, yet I'm pretty sure he's disappointed a large proportion of these by not taking on the challenge and letting us know how he did...me included As much as I enjoy his other content, I'd love to have seen how a top youtube golfer (who despite what some say is a damn good player) got on in a pga event. I suspect he may well have come dead last but it would have been interesting to see by how much nevertheless
