  1. Milo tried to put out a rebuttal to AMGs shallowing video a while ago. It didn't go well for him. I'll be curious if AMG responds this time. I'm guessing they'll ignore him.
  2. Thanks. So just different definitions. But I'd say amgs definition is a little more intuitive considering the use of the term in other contexts of the swing.
  3. I'll go out on a limb here and guess they're not including Mr Havercamp's 3d data in their aggregation of elite swing models.
  4. For a while now I've seen lots of AMG videos about "The Magic Move", reconnecting the trail arm to the side first move down. This is the first video I've seen where they describe how it needs to disconnect off the side again. From my own perspective this feels like it was a missing piece. It's an interesting swing cue for me to not forget to launch the arm back off the ribs or continue driving through the swing... the right arms job isn't over after reconnecting. Since I first watched this video a few days ago, in my mind's eye I've been wrestling with this image of a swing plane relative to my right shoulder joint rather than just the actual swing plane and trying to reconcile it with the rest of my idea of a swing... My mind's eye tends to leads me off a cliff sometimes so as I said jury is still out.
  5. Jury is still out. While I thought I was familiar with AMG's swing off the right side concepts that video provided a slightly different perspective that I find pretty interesting.
  6. Maybe we're talking about different versions of "wipe". I haven't watched much of Tyler's stuff, can you provide a video where he describes the wipe? Here is more on AMG's "wipe": More on AMG's trail arm extension: And some more on AMG's trail arm extension:
  7. Not what I gathered at all. The opposite. They're saying from the player perspective the swing extends 45 degrees off the shoulder line. so if you isolated the arm movement and took out any rotation the swing path would look like a circle to first base.
  8. Could you decode this graphic a bit? I'm thinking bottom labels 1 through 7 are meant to be P1 through P7?
  9. I've got two little ones in baseball, soccer, and basketball. they damn sure do teach mechanics. Coincidentally my daughter also had a basketball shooting mechanics session just two days ago. Trying to get her to use the ground and sequence better... sound familiar? lol
  10. You're looking at the mean, AMG is looking at the mode.
  11. Club path vs swing path... where's a trash can lid when you need one?
  12. It all seems consistent.. I'm not sure what all the confusion is about. They state in the linked video that this is the sequel to the famous shallowing video. Here's some numbers from that video that might help? Pro level mobility test (P4 to p5): 1. Adduct trail arm 10 degrees 2. Internally rotate trail arm 5 degrees 3. Extend trail elbow 10 degrees 4. Supinate trail arm 20 degrees 5. Lower arm 20 - 25 degrees http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfvVnWwhQFc?si=o8jrXfVlYNwuJmuS&t=829
  13. Wait a sec... THAT IS AN OPTION?!?
  14. Looks like you're barely holding the club with your trail hand.
