  1. As an update, this club (430 max) is long and elevates nicely. No issues teeing off with it on a short tee, as well. Now I want the 7 wood.
  2. I have a set of Mizuno JPX 800 Pro with XP S300 (similar to Elevate) which I have always liked, and I seem to get along well with Modus 115 Stiff and C-Taper Lite Stiff - soft stepped.
  3. Hit the G440 Max 17* over the weekend on TrackMan. As a result of demoing both that and the G430 Max 5 wood, I placed an order for a G430 Max 5 wood digitally lofted to 17*. And I ordered it + 1/4 inch over standard length (so 42.75"). 43 inches is a bit longer than what I am comfortable with for a fairway wood off the deck. I got it with the Chrome 75 S shaft. We shall see when it gets here.
  4. Interesting. My TSi2 16.5* currently has a Motore F3 in it and I struggle a bit elevating it off the deck but it is an absolute bomber off the tee. I do find the the G430 Max easy to elevate, but they did not make it in a 17 degree, so I went with a 5 wood, and lofted it down 1* in my demo sessions. This caused my shots to lean on the right side, when I usually easily draw the ball. I like to see a draw in all of my shots. The shaft I went with is the Chrome 75 S. I did not demo it off the tee. I think the G440 Max 4 wood could be what I am looking for (standard loft wise), but I am just wondering if the added depth of the head will cause me to lose confidence off the deck and have elevation issues like with my TSi2. Because of my OCD'ness which undoubtedly has been fueled by the endless hours on this forum, I am going to PGATSS with my digital calipers to measure the G440 17* and compare it to the G430 5 wood and my TSi2 4wood. But, I had also not considered the loss of spin that may occur with the new 440 Max head vs 430.
