If you play a lot of mid tier public courses like I do and can get away with not tucking your shirt in. Walmart sells some athletic shorts with stitching in the crotch that make it look like there is a zipper there and are indistinguishable from actual golf shorts unless someone gets to close for comfort. They also have a back pocket. I wear them every time unless I’m playing a private club.

I like many in this thread struggle with speed control with a spider, 15ft and in I don’t think there is anything better, when I practice with multiple putters a spider is the easiest for me to have putts rolling line over line. But I’m almost guaranteed at least 1 3 putt per round with a spider in my hands. Went on a 45 hole streak without a 3 putt this summer with an Ai one blade. I wish TM would get away from “dampening and softening” and make it a little louder. A Spider with an Ai One insert would be the unicorn I’m chasing.

Probably not a popular answer but I’m loving the Odyssey Ai One insert it is firmer and louder than most inserts I’ve tried and has really helped with speed control. Glad they dropped the silver version, just not a big fan of a navy blue putter.

I don’t currently own a G430 5 wood but that is going to change soon. I’ve been gaming a Ai smoke TD 5w for a few months and it is too long. Off the tee I’ve hit it 270 a few times and got myself in trouble. My dad has the ping G430 5w I’ve hit it a few times.. it’s so easy to hit it feels like cheating.

Saw a video on instagram with Shane Lowry or Brooks discussing the RTZ’s with Roger Cleveland seemed like he was not a fan of rust. Mentioned something about materials that rust will wear down the leading edge over time.
