  1. Face on would show a grip thats causing the odd appearance dtl. Weak attachments in both the lead and trail hand will often cause this appearance dtl.
  2. One of the reasons for the difference in rate is an overemphasis on opening the hips in the downswing. Andy Plummer does a great demonstration in which he has the hips closing relative to the torso(downswing)….sounds counterintuitive? The box is likely causing a change in rates between the arm speed and hips, giving you a bit more space.
  3. Definitely not a downswing issue. Adding a small amount of trail foot flare would allow an increased range of motion for the backswing. This could help improve p3-p4 but OP would also need to put time in on increasing the pivots role, while reducing the arms in this area.
  4. The amount of trail arm extension (downswing) in the shank is much slower than in the box attempt. This can be a conflict of intent or a difference in where your mass is relative to your feet (top of the swing to transition)
  5. I guess theres yet another attempt to shuffle the P system. P4 was top of the swing and p5 was lead arm parallel during the downswing. Someone produce a video. Lol.
  6. There's a moment where Sean says trail elbow connected to the side, stutters, tricep. When I commented about trail arm connecting to the side seam, and it causing an increase in lead arm adduction, I'm referring to this specific wording. Theres a big difference between the trail tricep on the side versus elbow on the side. In a perfect world, they would have edited out/reshot to eliminate the poor wording.
  7. Nope, read it correctly. If you didn’t convey what you meant, thats on you. Didn’t say he kept it flexed at all points of the video. He mentions and demonstrates trail arm extension AFTER connecting the trail arm to the side seam. My original comment was directed at what they performed en route to side seam connection. You sure are jonesing for video of me bud…..there are less combative ways to get your rocks off….unless thats a prerequisite.
  8. You already mentioned how trail arm extension is required to avoid increasing lead arm adduction. They failed to mention that or demonstrate that function. As such, my original comment pertains to those executing it in the manner they demonstrated and outlined in THAT video. You already did the work for me, so it made the video you requested unnecessary. Thanks.

  10. I mentioned in my post that theyre aware of information that their demonstration seems to contradict. In my opinion, their presentation and wording in THAT video wasn’t executed well.
  11. Agree with regard to trail arm extension providing a difference but when they discuss reconnecting the arm to the side seem, that isnt mentioned. At 4:05 Sean demonstrates reconnecting with trail arm only, and does so without any clear demonstration of extension. He only mentions extension after reconnecting.
  12. Pulled this from a google search of “lead arm adduction”. Credit to kdgolf (dont know him). Figure on the left shows more lead arm adduction than figure on the right.
  13. Understandable. I often will take the literal translation of anything. “Deeper” requires a point of reference, and since one wasn’t provided, I default to a word or description that includes one.

  15. If your trail arm reconnects to the side seam p4-p5, lead arm adduction would increase. An increase of lead arm across the chest during the downswing is a bad swingers attribute (they are aware of this). Where the arm/elbow/hands are relative to the mid line of the body at impact and what path and sequence they took to get there are two different things. What they are demonstrating is recreating impact arms while the body stays at p4, but unfortunately, it translates to how to sequence in order to obtain. Their demonstrations in this video are misleading and not well thought out.
  16. Slower swing work is best served to change the backswing. It can be effective in transition and downswing if you have an understanding of what forces are involved and how the club will respond to them.....without this understanding, youll likely do more harm than good.
  17. looking through the bottom hemisphere of your eye sockets is likely contributing to p1-p2. Tilting your head down would not only help with p1-p2 but improve path and face p4-p7
  18. If youre carrying any irons lower lofted than a 7 iron, replace them with hybrids. Will save shots on "longer" par 3's and 4's. At your swing speed, its unlikely you have the correct ball speed differentials to provide proper gapping for this part of the bag.
  19. Tilted would not be the term as it infers your spine is sloped in the incorrect direction. Shooting a video facing your back would show the misalignment I mentioned in the earlier post. To correct it, I suggest: centralizing the hands at p1 softening the trail arm (may require a trail hand grip adjustment) aligning the hips parallel to the target line
  20. Lots of good things happening in that swing despite overcoming a less than ideal set up. Currently, your anatomical head is closer to the target than your tailbone....should be equidistant. If the dtl camera angle was closer to neutral, we'd see what would appear to be open hips at address. That change alone would alter organization top to bottom at top of the backswing and move club in transition away from steep/path across.
  21. Right hand grip. Not enough points of contact between it, the lead hand and grip. Lead and trail hand apply different forces and the trail hands inability to participate factors into many of your stated issues.
  22. Moving mass in one direction creates a need for a counter balance of mass in the other. A backswing has mass moving in a multitude of directions (linear, vertical, rotational). Your lower body is not counter balancing the torso, arms and club movements in the backswing. Merely highlighting/focusing on the knees or tailbone would be incorrect as their movements in amount and rate need to synchronize to the torso/arms/club. Understand why, then how, will then open the door to you allowing the orthodox movements to occur at the correct rates and amounts. Swing like yours occur because most of the focus in on the upper body when many of the attributes youre attempting to recreate are because of lower body function.
  23. Have the correct ideas on how to use the club, then recruit the body and arms to execute….. Having the information, then playing footsy is bunk
