  1. Look beyond just the wins from this year: Scottie 16/16 cuts made 16/16 Top 25 13/16 Top 10 8/16 Top 5 Only player to finish Top 10 in all 4 majors (2 wins, 4 & T7) Rory 13/14 cuts made 12/14 Top 25 8/14 Top 10 5/14 Top 5 Majors (1 win, T47, T19, T7) When you look at the totality of the season to this point, it isn't even particularly close. Scottie separates even more than just wins. Rory has had an incredible year and kudos for finishing off the career Grand Slam, but his floor is lower than Scottie's and he tends to disappear at times. Scottie is just so consistent at a high level. His floor is incredibly high. Can Rory do something amazing in his last couple of tournaments and change the conversation? Sure, but I find it unlikely that he will end up with a case that is stronger than Scottie's.
  2. It is around holes 9 & 10 I believe. It is for the players only. It is around a congested area on the course and it helps the players move to the tee. Interesting anecdote. Hideki is apparently claustrophobic and refuses to walk through it.
  3. Has to be. If serious, it is right up there with being one of the most idiotic posts on this forum and that is a very high hurdle to clear.
  4. I completely disagree with this take as well. The only part that I am in somewhat agreement with is that Oakmont cannot ban a player from a USGA event. However, the USGA can (and should) address the situation as well. There are several years before the next Open at Oakmont. Clark has more than enough time to meet the conditions set forth by Oakmont. The notion that the USGA should tell Oakmont to pound sand in defense of Clark is laughable. Oakmont is in the right here. Clark messed up and apparently has failed to apologize or make restitution for the damage he caused. If he would have handled this in the correct manner, this ban would most likely have never been issued and the matter would be over. Clark brought this on himself.
