Are they doing it again next year? A member told me they were probably going to do away with it since apparently there were problems last year. This is completely anecdotal.

You’ll be fine. There’s still plenty of light at the astronomical “sunset”. You’ll probably be able to shower and start enjoying a cigar in the men’s locker room before it actually gets “dark”.
