    Qi35 Tour

Tour 7 wood was hot for me, even with weight all the way back. Distance control all over the place. Got the numbers I wanted after lofting it up, but face looked too closed for my liking. Ended up with core 5 wood at 7 wood length and it has been automatic. Flies high and straight.
  2. I now play 44.5” and have never been more consistent with center strikes and workability, no loss of distance. I played half a season gripping up from 45.5”, then took the leap and never looked back. Swingweight after shortening happened to be right where the majority of my set lives, which I think was the key in my case. Agree with lead tape to get to a spot that feels right.
  3. Super helpful, thanks again for the input. Will start by regripping, and then get on with putting this fresh roll of lead tape to work lol.
  4. That helps confirm my hypothesis. For what it’s worth, the T150 irons and Vokey wedges came from Titleist direct, albeit on different orders. Now I see why some may choose to leave grip in box.
  5. It is a very subtle feeling of a lighter club, most noticeable around the greens and with 3/4 shots. Ideally I want the wedges closer to one another in baseline swingweight before playing around with lead tape to get them to D0/D1. Thanks, y’all!
  6. Howdy, Just went through a mid-season loft/lie/swingweight check-up with one of my go-to builders and came away with some strange discrepancies. Would appreciate any input as to how to troubleshoot build-wise. Caveat: I am not myself a club builder, and only have a couple folks in the Seattle area that I trust to make any adjustments with some restraint. D / 3W / 5W / 4H: All right around D0-D1 ✅ 5i-9i: C8 (T150 1/2" short, 2 deg flat, X100) ✅ Pw, 50deg: C6 (PW is set T150 of same specs, 50deg is SM10, both X100) ❌ 54deg, 58deg: C9 (1/2" short, 2 deg flat, S400) ✅ All are Tour Velvet BCT +1 but the PW and 50 deg have felt subjectively (and look) more built up. What I noticed after learning about these swing weight discrepancies is that the PW and 50deg both have Titleist 58 round labeled on the grip butt i.e. 58 round with 2 layers of tape as opposed to the rest of the set which are Golf Pride-branded 60 round with 2 layers of tape. I've got lead tape to bring up the Pw and 50deg but then it seems a bit silly to now have big built-up grips and a hunk of lead tape for just those two clubs. Questions: 1. Can the 58 round alone (with same wraps of tape) be enough to change swing weight by 2 points? 2. Has anyone noticed significant grip weight discrepancies between Golf Pride, Titleist, Vokey for the same kind of grip? 3. What is the best way to now get irons/wedges more uniform in swing weight? I am thinking just buy the grips direct from Golf Pride then have builder regrip and swingweight them, but only in the hands of those I trust. Thanks!
