Which Modus Wedge Shaft with Modus 105 Iron Shafts?
subcrazy12 replied to Bogeyman_MD's topic in WRX Club Techs
Short answer: no I used a 105x 8 iron in my GW and butt trim inly longer answer: I would recommend reading the thread as there are several ways to approach it. Ultimately going one flex up in the same shaft and only having to butt trim felt like the easiest path to me. it was also a path that was open to me since I’m only in the s flex in my irons. If I was already in the x flex then I do think I would have to go down the path of butt and tip trimming. I won’t pretend to understand all the ins and outs of it but essentially increasing the stiffness lowers ball flight and increases spin which is useful for the wedges. Hopefully I’m not misrepresenting that, but I do know it has worked for me -
It is in no way shape or form cheap, but the Sunday bag from Shapland is excellent. So lightweight and such an easy carry even with a full set and the pocket situation is excellent

A New Chapter for GolfWRX- We are now part of the Pro Shop family

Ian is still around Sugarloaf. Owners can stay and the soul can still go away. I know of several other examples like Mailchimp. Anyways no desire to harp on it just an observation. -

Congrats to you guys! I was a lurker for a long time and this place is a wealth of knowledge and great community. That said citing Sugarloaf is honestly a major negative for me about how I expect this will go considering post acquisition they have become completely soulless compared to what it was -
I can't speak to others but I can guarantee that PDC is sub 100 as a junior non legacy. Legacy is half normal so it's in the 60s

Unfortunate news. They basically ruined Sugarloaf in record speed and Skratch isn't as good either. I don't blame anyone for taking the money but it's unfortunate

Will Scottie get ANY actual competition any time soon? (A study)
subcrazy12 replied to Birdman62's topic in Tour Talk
Maybe he wont who knows, but honestly what's stopping him from dominating the next 3-5 years? He just turned 29 and will be in his physical prime for at least 3 more years. He doesn't seem to have vices, works hard, loves winning, doesn't waste time with all the sponsor crap, has a great mentality on the course, and let's be honest all the other guys are starting to talk about how in a different way which will be a mental edge. He is the best or top 3 in every aspect of the game outside putting and that is massively improved since the change to the Spyder. He's the closest thing we've had to Tiger. -
It feels like Gotterup is extremely triggered hearing anyone talk

Which Modus Wedge Shaft with Modus 105 Iron Shafts?
subcrazy12 replied to Bogeyman_MD's topic in WRX Club Techs
So I have the 105S in my irons as well and I actually used Howards 8 iron spinner trick and I have had the best results with my wedges ever after the switch like 5 rounds ago -
So I don't have an Max, but I do that the DS Adapt X that I was able to snag on a deal and over the course of several rounds even with just the stock shaft this driver is just a game changer. Even the X is silly easy to hit and the misses now are really not dead at all. Already had my best round of the year with this thing and it was mostly because I was sending my drivers further and more in play than any other round all year and the subsequent rounds have had similar results albeit not quite as low of scores.

that's honestly wild to me. I am not even paying that at PDC in Atlanta for F&B or range fee. The monthlies are higher but not by a ton. Obviously the initiation tiers are way different, but also way different levels of club

I would recommend trying less offset as it's helped me feel more lined up Out of curiosity do you miss more putts left or right? Honestly toe-hang is more a function of neck design/shaft axis than offset. You just typically see more toe-hang on higher offset putters because plumbers necks are a super common style that works and easy to produce and likely helps majority of the population with alignment since cross-eye dominance only accounts for like 30% of the population (on the high end). You should maybe try a bb8 flow, Newport 2.6 (if you want extreme toe hang and no offset), and there are few others potentially

Would Wyndham even been on tour in the 90s?

Graphite Design Tour AD shafts - where to start?

How should kick/load be interpreted here? -
Thanks all!

Hey all trying to determine if this is an authentic GD IZ shaft. Everything seems to match up based on my untrained eyed, but there isn't a serial number, but I have read that some of the older models may not have one. Thanks for any input

I just keep buying up the crossline cords whenever I see some

Mountaintop and High Hampton might be more expensive, but you are likely gonna have a harder time getting into HCC.

Yeah it's a super interesting world there at Costco where they just get everything through distributors and they don't really care about if the distributors should or shouldn't be selling to them.

Just thought I would drop the article about Bettinardi and Costco https://www.golfwrx.com/693490/bettinardi-issues-statement-after-putters-appear-on-shelves-in-costco/

I believe something similar happened with Bettinardi
