  1. Forgot this was about girls. 100% accurate.
  2. There was no personal attack. What is that saying "First to complain are always offended"?
  3. More important than making more birdies.
  4. The field at TF on Day 2 was stronger or performed better. It is an easy explanation that JGS will never own up to.
  5. You are easily persuaded, you would be a good juror for someone. Goes back to my original statement "Say you don't understand this thread without saying it." These are legitimate reasons to discuss. There seems to be a serious discussion somewhere every year about the same topic from high level golf instructors like Jim McClean. However, someone posts it here and it is parents making excuses. Not one poster in this thread brought up anything about their kid not getting in. You did, however, come to that conclusion based on nothing. This is exactly what this thread is about, you just don't like it. Maybe just dip out instead of sounding like the Archie Bunker of the internet.
  6. Say you don't understand without saying it. I have not bee a big contributor to this thread, but I understand what everyone's argument is. No one has mentioned fair, has not blamed fault, and have not pointed fingers. They are talking about making it a better event.
  7. My oldest playing in the USGA Junior was the best golf experience I have ever been associated with.
  8. Not in women's. Women's D3 golf is pretty bad after the top 4-6 schools. Only schools I would consider over a D1 would be Emory, Carnegie, Pomona Pitzer, George Fox, Wash U and Williams. After that there is a huge drop off in talent. D3 women's generally plays 5700 max. Bottom line, you would choose D3 for the Academic route. Those schools I listed are top women's golf schools and top academic schools. The other part of this, if you are asking the question, they probably don't have a chance to play professionally. Pick the better academic school.

  10. No doubt. He is an IMG Kid. Has been playing FSGA stuff since 2021. https://www.fsga.org/Membership/Results/?year=2022&id=6cacab7a-3ef2-4062-919e-4645e7040483&isQual=False
  11. 36 hole qualifier it is highly unlikely a player catches lightning in a botte and advances. Kid qualified from Florida a couple of years ago that never shot under par in any round in his life. Couldn't even catch on to a bottom end NAIA. He wins medalist and ends up bottom 5 of stroke play.
  12. Nope. It used to be 36 hole qualifier, which it still should be. The biggest Junior golf tournament in the world and they play a 1 day qualifier. SMH!
  13. Mingbo has been in Florida for years. This isn't a direct recruitment from China. While Mingbo is an upper level player, I don't see him being elite by any means.
  14. Cheating is found at all levels.
