  1. Hi all I am interested in which Scotty of these options you feel game the best. background I’m coming from an X5.5 but the toe hang caused me to pull putts left. I had a short stint with a futura dual balance and while it was straight I just didn’t like the size and it was short. so I’m looking for forgiveness, feel, distance/speed control I don’t really have the opportunity to try them all so I would love some feedback from current or past users. very interested in 5s as center shaft seems to be very stable but I’ve only ever used zt center shaft putters, but I hate the feel of most of them. Outside of the spider but overall I’m a milled fan. assume super select generation for all of these as those are what I have my eye on.
  2. I am interested in picking up another Scotty after my experiment with a 5.5 failed. I could not for the life of me keep putts from pulling left (righty golfer). I have attributed this to the toe hang closing the face. some of my best putting ever was a futura dual balance last year but it was 33 inches and I just don’t care to extend my clubs and I got an awesome deal as every club I own is up for sale for the right price. (Club hoe) I am looking for opinions on forgiveness, feel, distance and speed control with the aforementioned putters in the title. Do the mid mallet designs negatively affect forgiveness too much? I had awesome control with the 5.5 distance wise and had two sets of weights. I mostly used the 40g to keep a very heavy head and keep it stable through the stroke. I know I could do a larger mallet but I just don’t care for them much truthfully, hence the futura being gone as well. bonus points for anyone who has experience with a Phantom 5 vs 5s, I’ve tried zt putters but never a normal center shaft. I just don’t like the feel of lab or white hot.
  3. Does anyone have any experience around these 3 models in terms of feel, forgiveness, and distance control. I had Phantom X5.5 and I simply pulled too many putts left due to the face closure but I did have fantastic distance/speed control. I also previously had an old futura dual balance I picked up off a trade and it was one of the easiest putters I’ve ever had to hit straight. It was just too short at 33 inches and I made a heck of deal on selling it. (Club hoe issues) Yes, I should get fit but I just don’t have the time realistically to get it done. Based on my previous experiences a straight back stroke seems to be more accurate so a face balance putter should give me better dispersion. That said I’d love to hear some feedback on people with these putters or had games them previously.
  4. Thanks for all the replies, I’ll probably bite the bullet on the right deal or hopefully some one wants to trade to go to i230. im honestly not sure if anything will kick the zx5/zx7 combo. I think they feel better than my 223s did. I don’t necessarily care about my score as much as having a good time, but I can’t look bad at the work outings. If anyone is interested in a trade I have 4-u x100 black dot 😅
  5. I have recently purchased a set of Ping i230 for my second bag and they seem great so far but I am missing out on the forged feeling and I can’t help but think they are a bit large as well. I’ve read many times the blueprint s is very similar in forgiveness and have an awesome feel to them. For context, I also have a set of zx7 and played MP 223s last year. I tried the 23’ T100’s and thought they were way to firm and clicky in a sense which hust didn’t add to my experience. But man were they a beautiful iron to look down at. How much forgiveness am I really giving up if I were to make that switch, or is the club hoe in me never going to be satisfied. Am I dumb for wanting a prettier smaller iron at the sake of hurting my performance?
  6. Hey everyone ive been a decent lurker constantly figuring out which clubs or ball perform A bit better and decided to make an account. I’m from Ohio and have been golfing for 20 years since I was about 10/11. I didn’t take it seriously until last year and that’s when the real club hoe in me activated. I think I enjoy trying new things than staying consistent and getting better. I’m always selling something or looking to buy only if it’s a good deal though 😉 I used to really only enjoy the social aspect with my friends but as I became more serious I enjoy meeting randoms on the course and focusing on my game. I still love a good scramble that’s more booze focused than golf. I’m a new father and trying to get my swing all the way back and my rounds played have taken a real dive this year. happy to be here and chat golf all day long. ps I’m mostly posting because I need 10 posts to send more than 1 dm per day in the classifieds!
