I'll chime in on the armlock experience. I tend to get bored and like to buy clubs/putters. Bryson's transformation from a bad putter to good with the armlock got me interested in trying one. I went to 2ndswing Scottsdale couple times over a month and was messing with various armlocks. I noticed it was easy to hit your line but speed was off.
After a night out drinking I bought one off ebay a 40in Bettinardi Studio with Superstroke 17 in grip. It showed up and i wasn't going to put it in the bag without practicing and I was playing a casual round with my son. I went to the course early and putted for 15 min and said I'll game with it. I putted lights out. I made 3 putts over 20 feet. I was surprised that lag putting was the strength. Only had 1 3 putt.
I played second round with my buddies where we gamble pretty good so I thought it would be a good test to see if round 1 was real. Same results as round 1. I putted great making 2 birdies and only had 1 3 putt.
3rd round I was pretty confident but knew greens were punched 8 days before and would be slow. First time on slower greens because first 2 rounds were suoer fast greens. I putted the same as the round before even with slower greens. Made 3 birdies and no 3 putts. My friends even were starting to comment and give me s*** about the armlock.
Played 4th round on lighting fast greens today and made 3 birdies with no 3 putts. I am making 2 -3 long putts a round I shouldn't make statistically.
Overall I love the putter and the technique. Definitely get the start lines better and the speed control on lag putts hasn't been an issue. I did spend a decent amount of time trying to get ball position to what I think is correct. I didnt get fit either which I was going to do until I started putting so well.
