Both heads are surprisingly forgiving. I was coming from an Aerojet LS and looking for more forgiveness on my own toe strikes which led me down the Max-K path. I went and tested ALL of the Cobra DS-Adapt heads and ended up finding that the LS was the best at controlling spin and keeping them respectable across the entire face which led to more consistency and “forgiveness” for my swing type. I used to dial up this Nasty power slice/Fade for doglegs with the Aerojet by simply opening up my stance and swinging as hard out to in as possible but when I do that with the DS-Adapt LS is just murders it straight. I can still control ball flight with it but it’s more baby fades and draws no matter how hard I go at it. With the Max-K it felt less workable but was very straight no matter how you hit it. I do fully believe a lot of people would really enjoy the LS over the rest. Putting the weight in the back makes it similar to a regular X but a lower spin version. This was the first round with the DS Adapt LS and the first hole I tried to purposefully slice the crap out of it SmoothSwing-VCJBJ5WW2.mov

I didn’t get along with the Max-K at all. I read all the same things and went to give it a try locally. It did well at retaining ball speed and it’s definitely more forgiving but I’m in the 115-120 club head speed range and it spun just a bit to much for me, I ended up getting the most consistent lower spin numbers and trajectory out of the LS and bought one of those instead. I think a lot of people would jive really well with the DS-Adapt LS with the 10G weight in the back.

A lot of pro players use x100s in their irons and move to s400 in their wedges. I personally play X7s in all my irons and wedges

Official Review I have gone about testing these grips thoroughly for a couple weeks now, I have given them some extra time so I could properly test their durability, playability and if they accomplish their goal as a product. Please review the following category breakdowns and final scoring! Customer Service 10/10: it’s not only a good experience but a humbling one when you reach out to customer service and the owner gets back to you immediately to answer any and all questions you have clearly and that’s exactly what happened. From the get go the customer service with Juicy Lie Golf Co has been quality. Packaging 10/10: I have never experience such top quality packaging from a grip company before, they came packed in sets of 3 inside of a highly stylish bubble wrap mailer with a juicy lie sticker. You could ask for any better packaging really. Style/Looks/Appeal 10/10: The first run of these grips has 11 colorways, very distinct from other options on the market. The attention these grips brings is immense, the comments and questions on the range were frequent. If you don’t want extra attention don’t buy these grips, on average I’m asked about my equipment a couple times a day at the range, I have been asked about these grips 10+ times every time I go. The simple yet effective design leans itself well to it’s approach in style while not limiting its performance. Durability 9/10: Very rarely do I grade anything about an 8/10 for durability. I put these through the wringer, thousands of balls through this set and a handful of course round and one solid torture test and they have proved very Durable. The color doesn’t wear, dirt/smudges clean easily, the rubber is soft but strong. Typically squared off butt ends wear immediately for me due to my aggressive swing and palm contact but these have held up fantastically. Performance 8/10: These grips are heavier than standard grips by about 10g. They have slightly less taper than most standard grips. For these reasons I removed two points, not because it bugged me but because I believe that will be the biggest gripes anyone could make. Outside of those two performance related details these grips are absolutely phenomenal. I actually enjoy the heavier weight ( I like a touch of counterbalance) and reduced taper so personally I would give these a higher rating. They provide a solid soft feel and a supple tackiness that is not degraded by water. During my torture test I hit 250 balls with my utility iron while spraying the grip with water every 10 shots. Not only do they do well when wet they shed water very quickly after just a couple swings. Value 6/10: These are pricey grips, if you are looking to add flare to your bag then that is not an obvious concern but if you are looking for a quality affordable grip this is not it, this is a quality, flashy and expensive grip. It’s not GripMaster expensive but these aren’t Kangaroo leather either. Final Verdict 8.8/10: Juicy Lie accomplished what they set out to do, these are flare first grips that value style over performance but don’t think they forgot about performance because the grips still excel and what they were originally designed to do for a golf club, Grip. I am a performance obsessed golfer who takes his club junkiness very seriously and I love these grips so much I can confidently say I’ll be ordering these from here on out for all of my personal builds. On a side note I have been playing fairly loose and poorly this season and scored my first under 75 round this season on the first round I used these grips, they feel great. I’m excited to pick up one of their towels and future Putter grips! Here’s hoping they release a forward Press putter grip!

Probably would be a fairly substantial event not only for the GolfWRX Fam/staff, GolfWRX Members, Pro Shop fam/staff and Manufactures but also just in the amount of content it would produce. Could only imagine getting the Brass and crews together with the most detail oriented gear junkies on the internet for a meet and greet and tournament. I’ll keep an eye out for the “Apply Now: Need 50 members for GolfWRX Invitational” and Pre-pack my Knickerbockers, lead tape and tour extra stiff shafts.

Man all this love, reflection and mostly optimism……Sounds like it’s time to organize the GolfWRX Members Best Ball Tournament with the Pro Shop Fam.

I did the same thing! Look around for some cobra fitting events and test them all out! I talked to @adamwon84 for a while about it and pretty much sold myself on getting one instead of my regular LS but ended up jiving with the LS the most.

Snohomish GC but they definitely need to water the fairways and the greens are massively fast, it’s been hot though. I’m in the 115-118 MPH range with a heavier shaft (GD VF 7TX) I’m a fairly high spin player the Max K and I did not get along(3.2k plus spin and up), I think if your worried about spin but want to increase it during the winter you may still want to go with the LS, I’m hitting the LS right now and absolutely love it. It’s much more forgiving than my Aerojet LS and if you put the 10g weight in the back it manages adding some spin and forgiveness.

I have hit over 1000 balls across these grips, and have 3 full rounds with them. I just said I played a round today, not that I only used them for 18 holes haha

Review coming tomorrow! Played a round with these today and they were wonderful the color didn’t leach onto my glove and they are fairly durable with no signs of wear so far!

I’m in love with my new DS-Adapt LS and Graphite Design VF 7-Tx. Today I had a great problem, I can usually Dial up a fat slice for a dogleg with my prior driver and I finally got the Adapt dialed in and it’s TOO Straight and Long. I went out today and deliberately tried to hit a super swing out of your shoes power fade around a dogleg and it went BALLISTIC. 333 yard carry over the top of some tall trees onto the green adjacent. Played really well today and the 699 v3 pro kept up, I will be keeping this in the bag for quite some time. I was eagerly waiting for a dogleg right that bends at 245 today to test this from the tee, it did not disappoint. Absolutely spot on and the workability was fabulous, I used it for a lot of punchouts today and it was incredible. this is the miracle. 112 to the pin, between two trees, under the branches and over the water hazard to within 10 followed by the dogleg tee shot SmoothSwing-MWG7M8BN2.mov SmoothSwing-4RE535RV2.mov

Playing an extra long course tomorrow just to thoroughly test out the V3 before posting a final review. Cannot wait to get this thing out there

I agree, they are style focused for sure but as they get going I could see more sizes and info coming to light. These are realistically a bit of tweeners. They have less taper than a standard Golf Pride tour velvet I would say they are +2-3 or so on build up tape thicker on the bottom half. These are like a very soft and tacky Tour Velvet +4

It’s really because of the entire package, from packaging, to customer service to actual product everything has been better than expected all of which makes me look back at its price. The value is exceptional

Will be writing up a review here shortly but I am over the moon impressed by this Utility. The ZXiU and T505 will have to sit this one out

I’d recon if you called them they’d build up any shaft you want in one for a decent price! So far their customer service has been fantastic. Their selection is fairly thin in xstiff but I’m a silverback gorilla so a heavy steel x100 works for me. I emailed asking for a grip they didn’t have on their options list and no questions or extra charges asked that’s what I got
