  1. I have the LS 3 & 5 woods. They are really good. Low spin but still easy to flight up or down.
  2. I have both at 10.5* and have been hitting them head to head on course and the range for the past month. At 105-112 clubhead speed, the Max K spins too much for me. Even lofted down to 8.5* On the other hand, the LS at 10.5* keeps spin in a great range for me. I've messed with shafts as well. Ventus Red Velocore+ on the LS at 10.5 is magic for me, but too spinny on the Max K. The Max K lofted all the way down to 8.5 with a Tour AD-VF is close to getting my spin and launch numbers maximized, but I'm still favoring the LS w/Ventus Red. I am pretty impressed with the forgiveness of both heads.
  3. I’ve been down this road this year on the same experiment. Club head speed is between 105–112 for me. My AOA on average is +2° to +4° DS-Adapt LS at 10.5° w/Ventus Red VC+ and 10.5° QI35 LS with AD-IZ are both yielding lower spin and better launch numbers than the DS-Adapt Max K 10.5° dialed down to 8.5° using a Graphite Design Tour AD-VF. Even at 8.5°, I’m seeing a bit too much spin on the Max K.
  4. I’m a high spin player and own the Max K and LS. SS currently around 110. No matter which of my shafts I use (Red Velocore+, AD-VF, Denali Black), I’m still finding the Max K to spin too high for me. The LS is consistently excellent in the spin and forgiveness category. The spin on this head is under control for me no matter where I seem to hit it on the club face. I tested the X in a fitting earlier this year and found it good but not great. Still spun a little more than I like. People who play with high spin should not be scared to give the LS a shot. It really offers an impressive level of forgiveness for this type of club.
  5. I want the answer for me to be the driver, but it is absolutely putting. When I’m putting well, I’m in the 70’s, the rest of the time I’m in the 80’s. Driving impacts my morale more than anything else… and putting impacts my scorecard more than anything else.
  6. Cobra DS-Adapt Max K 12° would be a no brainer. Enough spin, but not too much and the FF33 hosel makes it completely adjustable. Fade bias or draw bias independent of loft, which can be higher or lower from stock… whatever pops needs.
  7. I’ve done it both ways and prefer matching it to my wedges even though it is often a full swing club for me. For partial swings or lower lofted pitch shots, I strongly prefer a GW that matches my more lofted wedges.
  8. I have putted with a cut spin forever and switched to a LAB DF3 this season. It has helped me correct my swing path as it is very easy to see and feel when I start cutting across the ball instead swinging with a proper arc. It is also very forgiving when my cut stroke shows up.
  9. If I were your shoes, I’d be careful making too many decisions by testing shafts with different heads. Opposing driver heads are probably going to pair with shafts different than the G430 LST that you play. Clubhead speed and dispersion will also probably differ in results with the shafts you’ve tried in your driver head. In fittings, I’ve seen 5 or 6 miles of clubhead speed difference just by changing to a different driver head… not to mention that different models of driver heads have different biases, left to right and high to low.
  10. Been loving the Cobra DS-Adapt LS 3W. Lower spin, but not hard to launch off the deck. The FF-33 adapter makes it so easy to dial in.
  11. Another vote here for the GD Tour AD-IZ if you want a little more help launching your 3W off of the deck.
  12. Can you add any info on your swing tendencies and ball flight? What’s happening when you hit the white 6S? Are you wanting to change shifts strictly based on feel or does it have something to do with what’s happening with your shot?
  13. Yeah. I threw a Tour AD-VF 6X in it this week. Helps some. I think the LS with Ventus Red VC+ is still more optimized for me, but it’s early. The Max K with VF shows some promise. I need to spend a little more time with it.
  14. I have both the Max K and LS. The Max K is not “high spinning” by any means, but it is higher spin than the LS. Lots of peeps loving it. I’m still seeing better numbers in the LS, but that’s definitely not the case for everybody.
