Quick comparison between the T250/T150 combo vs JPX925 Forged - JPX925 forged is a combo set in itself (4-7 use chromoly steel, 8-P use single pieced forged 1025 mild steel), so similar in a sense to the T250/T150 combo set - Mizunos definitely feel softer. Marketing aside, there is something about Mizuno forgings that give it that classic soft feeling - T combo set is slightly higher launching and spin, but not by much - I really like the turf interaction on both the Titleist and Mizuno irons, but slightly prefer the tri-sole design on the Mizunos as it feels a hair cleaner through the turf (especially vs the T250's) - Prefer the less aggressive offset of the T series - Both sets looks sexy! Satin finish of the T-series (huge upgrade vs T200) and the Black finish on the Mizunos 🙂

Me as well. I upgraded my T200's to a new T250/T150 combo set, and also traded in a older set of 718 AP3 for a set of black Mizuno JPX925 Forged. I love both sets of irons for different reasons. Boys and their Toys..

Just received my Elyte TD Max on Friday and had 2 range sessions so far. Here are my initial impressions vs the Ai Smoke TD Max I have gamed the past year. - Elyte TD Max (9* turned up to 10* / HZRDUS Black 4G 6.0 60g) - Ai Smoke TD Max (9* turned up to 10* / Denali Black 6.0 60g) - Elyte 'feels' a pinch softer, like the ball stays on the face a bit longer - could be the shaft difference that is causing this, not sure - Elyte launches higher - again this could the shaft difference but both shafts are Project X and considered low launch/low spin - Subjectively, Elyte performs a bit better on mishits (low face, high toe) as I felt it was retaining ball speed and launch fractionally better than Ai Smoke - From the middle of the face, there is really no difference (both maxed out at around 290 total yards for me) - Ball speed overall was maybe 1-2 MPH faster (at least according to Top Tracer) for Elyte, but overall distance was about the same which leads me to speculate that Elyte may spin a touch more than Ai Smoke (which might explain the slight improvement in forgiveness). - I already loved the Ai Smoke TD Max, but surprisingly I love the performance of the Elyte TD Max even more. Although in my opinion the Ai Smoke looks better from a cosmetic perspective. I have to admit that there does seem to be some incremental gains for Elyte vs Ai Smoke, even if I initially thought they'd be exactly the same. The guy in the bay next to me asked what driver I was hitting, then looked it up on his phone to order one LOL. I highly recommended that he not do that, and suggested he demo (or better yet get fit) before he buys a new driver..

I have a blended set of T250 (4-6) and T150 (7-P). I kept the stock lofts on all clubs, but thought about strengthening the loft 1 degree on the T150 to blend better on paper. However with the stock lofts, I'm carrying the 7-iron (T150) around 165-167 yards and the 6-iron (T250) around 178-180 yards so the gapping is spot on for me. The biggest focus during my fitting was getting peak height to ~100 ft for all my clubs, which is what determined where I combo split between models.

So I just received my new T250/T150 combo set a few days ago with AMT Silvers. I also have a set of Mizuno JPX925 Forged with DG Mid 115's. Subjectively, I prefer the feel of the DG Mid 115's overall as seems smoother to me than the AMT Silvers. Dynamically, I believe i'm getting exactly mid launch/mid spin from both shafts, but the shorter irons in the AMT Silver feel just like the AMT Whites I had in my previous T200 set. Which is to say they feel a little stiff/boardy. The 6 and 7 irons feel more like the DG Mid 115, and then the 5 and 4 irons feel even softer. If I had to choose one, I would lean towards DG Mid 115 but the AMT Silvers give me the performance/flight characteristics I need despite my subjective 'feel'. I will say that I much prefer them over the AMT Whites, which were punishing on mishits especially late in the round when you're tired..

I have not hit the Modus 105/115, but have the AMT Silver in my new combo set (T250/T150) that I was fit into. Previously had AMT White in my T200 set. Just hit ~100 balls last night, and in my opinion the Silver play somewhat similarly to the White but just a bit lighter in weight. I know the Silver slot between the White and Black models, but I think they lean closer to White in terms of feel. Especially in the shorter irons, they feel almost identical to White (a bit boardy I think). By the time you get to 6 or 7 iron, they soften up quite a bit. Overall I think they are fine and give me the numbers I'm looking for, but personally I prefer the feel of classic DG or DG Mid.

Your fitting will be key. I coming the other direction where I played T200 for the past 5 years (all 3 variants), and assumed i'd be fit into the T250. During my fitting last week, hitting off of grass, I found the T150 was actually easier to hit (for me) than the T250 and gave me plenty of launch. It was at 6 iron where the T250 started to have a bit higher peak height so that's where the combo splits. If I had to wager, you might find yourself in a combo set after your fitting but keep us posted. Either way, I think you'll really enjoy the process and will end up with great new irons regardless of model. Mine are being delivered today so it feels like Christmas morning 🙂

Depends on which specific iron of the 925 Forged you're comparing. The 925 Forged are like a combo set in itself, with the 8-G being forged from 1025 steel and i'd say very close to the T150 in terms of size and performance. The major difference being the 2 degree loft difference. The 4-7 irons of the 925 Forged are made from Chromoly steel and designed to have faster faces, so more similar to the T250 in that regard but the Mizunos are not a hollow body head but rather a traditional cavity back with a hot, forgiving face that is still forged and provides a softer feel than T250. Honestly, I love the 925 Forged irons and they will see plenty of play. I do think the new Titleist irons however will be in play most of the time for me as I think they will be just ever so slightly more consistent in terms of front-back dispersion. I love having both sets 🙂

I get that. I also have a set of Mizuno irons (925 Forged) and the T250 feels harsh in comparison. The T150 is more closely matched in feel to the Mizunos in my opinion. But I'm still getting the T250 in 4-6 irons because I need the higher launch and it feels 'good enough' for the handful of times i'll hit those clubs in a round. I will say however that the T250 feels WAY better than the prior T200, and I mean all 3 versions of the T200 ('19, '21, '23) which I previously bagged.

I also got fitted at Newcastle (WA state) on Sunday 7/13, with Rick Barlament. I also received an email last night about my order being "in progress" with an estimated ship date of today 7/15. Hopefully they'll arrive early next week. I did not get any cool swag though, so that's a bummer 😞

@sparcs - no, surprisingly we did not bend the lofts on my set. I was expecting to bend the T150's 1 degree strong to match the T250's lofts, but the numbers I was getting from the stock T150 lofts were right in line with my expected carry distances (T250 6-iron - 178 carry / T150 7-iron - 166 carry) so we left the lofts alone. My only mods were the lie (2 degrees flat) and length (0.25" short). Did you bend any of them for the blend? I'm surprised they said 2 weeks! Mine were quoted 3-4 on 7/10. Hopefully we get them in 2 or less hahaha. Congrats!

Completed my Titleist fitting this morning. Really impressed with the new line up and a bit of a surprise in terms of what I was fit for. I've been playing T200 for the past several years, and 2 years ago got fit into the AMT White shafts with T200 heads (2023 model). These were great when i was "on", but somewhat punishing when I wasn't. I went into fully expecting to get into the T250, but they put me in a blended set (T150 7-P, T250 4-6) with the new AMT Silver shafts and 2 degrees flat. I know the AMT stuff is not everyone's cup of shaft, but I've gotten used to it over the last 4 years, first with the AMT Black then with AMT White. I think the AMT Silver is a nice middle ground shaft and I got great results this morning with it (DG Mid 115 was close 2nd place, but a $20 upcharge). I am really impressed with T250, which are clearly a step up from the T200 heads in terms of launch, distance, and forgiveness. They look MUCH better as well. But where I was really blown away was with the T150. It was shocking how easy these were to hit and get up in the air. They actually felt easier to hit than the T250, maybe due to the smaller sole? I don't recall the T150 being this easy to hit in the last gen.. By the time I got to 6 iron, the slightly higher peak height of the T250 was better suited for me, so that's where we decided to blend the set. I am eagerly awaiting my confirmed ship date/delivery date, but was told it should take about 2 weeks. Overall, another great fitting experience with Titleist. I highly recommend the experience to anyone.
