Hello again.... Thanks for all the advice, I tried to give shift-turn-shift-turn a go, and I must say it feels a lot more fluid even if the result is sub par at the moment (overswinging still an issue, but I have decided to work on the shift only for now). Previously, I had been told numerous times that swaying to the right is a bad move so I kept trying to centre myself, but got no momentum to move forward as a result. The explanation of @Valtiel about Adam Scott's swing, particularly the first move, was truly enlightening.
The immediate feedback when I bumped right at the start was that the shift forward became more natural instead of being forced. So now I think I understand the mechanics a little better!
One issue I'm having though is that it's difficult to do this slowly.... I understand from many of you that I need to groove it at 70-80% first before going full speed, but when i reduce my tempo, the swing kind of breaks down. Anyway will keep plugging at that, it's a journey after all.
