  1. New WRX member from Singapore and this is a very useful thread as I keep wondering what clubs should carry when I travel around the Southeast Asian region- lots of beautiful courses around here! My bag is the 8 club Set-up 2 except I use a 3 hybrid instead of a 5 wood. Not a long hitter, so like many of you I'm keeping the top-end strong while compromising the middle. Will post pic of my setup.
  2. Hello again.... Thanks for all the advice, I tried to give shift-turn-shift-turn a go, and I must say it feels a lot more fluid even if the result is sub par at the moment (overswinging still an issue, but I have decided to work on the shift only for now). Previously, I had been told numerous times that swaying to the right is a bad move so I kept trying to centre myself, but got no momentum to move forward as a result. The explanation of @Valtiel about Adam Scott's swing, particularly the first move, was truly enlightening. The immediate feedback when I bumped right at the start was that the shift forward became more natural instead of being forced. So now I think I understand the mechanics a little better! One issue I'm having though is that it's difficult to do this slowly.... I understand from many of you that I need to groove it at 70-80% first before going full speed, but when i reduce my tempo, the swing kind of breaks down. Anyway will keep plugging at that, it's a journey after all. 3. I read through the link you posted, and I can see that my swing has all the issues you've spoken about. I'm left handed in all other sports but I play golf right handed, so I do wonder if I'm missing out on some natural instincts. Nevertheless, I do want to improve, and was wondering if I should start with reducing the overswinging? Saw this post from Monte, should I begin with this?
  4. Thank you very much for looking into my old videos! I get what you're saying, I think i was trying to keep myself "centred" and not sway off, but I obviously implemented it incorrectly. I'll go through the link and revert with any questions.
  5. thanks @Valtiel for your comment. I know I overswing and I’ve found it really hard to overcome this, as it is probably the key reason for my swing issues. I will post some better videos of my swing for your analysis. I’ve seen and read your comments on many swings, you’re an absolute legend 😃
  6. Hi everyone Posting for the first time here. I have been having a really difficult time with my irons, topping or thinning them with frightening regularity on the course. Interestingly, I don't usually have an issue launching my driver or my 3 hybrid, or even a 5 hybrid. But shorter irons are a real struggle. Link attached for DTL indoor swing with a foam ball (i did not have space for a front video). https://youtube.com/shorts/tTlGZr4Kgdw?si=CiVR6XY-szcz9RIY Had taken lessons previously and the coach had asked me to put an alignment stick pointing 30-40 degrees to the right and swing along that line to get the in-to-out feel. That's what I am trying in the video. Appreciate any insights, and what I should be doing better. Thanks in advance!
