Hey WRXers, I recently picked up (or: I’ve had for a while) a pair of Sonartec SS-701 driving hybrids – one 20°, the other 23°. Both are built with ACCRA HY iSeries M3 shafts (stiff flex), and came with Miura headcovers. From what I can tell, these are pretty rare – I’ve searched online and found almost nothing about this particular model as hybrids. I’m familiar with the SS-701 irons, but these heads are clearly hybrid/driving hybrid shapes – compact, clean, and definitely not iron conversions. There’s no Miura marking on the heads themselves, but I’ve read about Sonartec’s past links to Miura/Royal Collection Japan. Wondering if anyone here has seen or played these hybrids before – or knows the story behind them? Any insight into production history, original specs, or collector interest would be greatly appreciated! Pics below – thanks in advance!
