  1. Honestly if you can see wear in pictures it's worse in person. I wouldn't buy any iron with visible wear like that if I couldn't inspect it in hand with a fine tooth comb before purchasing.
  2. If you want spin you want loft which removes a lot of "forgiving" irons because the lofts on those are strong as hell these days. The only irons that seem to come to mind would be Titleist T250* Launch Spec and Ping i240 Retro Spec. Both of these irons offer decent forgiveness with the ability to carry very traditional lofts that are about 3-4* weaker than the standard set these days(35* 7-iron for each). Personally opting for the T250* Launch Specs myself as they tested better than the i240 for me. But those are the two worth looking at with these goals in mind.
  3. Give me a postal code and I'll check. I'm open to it if it's not crazy expensive.
  4. I would say it's no different than anything else in the "Players Distance" category. Similar size and shape to P790, Dynapwr Forged, name your favorite players distance iron, etc. Not a compact package like a blade by any means but certainly not a shovel either.
  5. Wilson Dynapwr Forged which has a 30.5* 7 iron vs the 35* in the T250* launch spec. To me the Wilson has the T250 beat on looks sound and feel but I really struggle to get 7iron-4iron to launch high enough because I have a very negative AoA(-6*). But I swing 7i 91 mph still so wasn't looking for distance just playability. With the launch spec I was seeing peak heights of 90-104 feet with 7k spin vs Dynapwr Forged where I see 75-85 feet peak height with only 6k spin. FWIW I also hit the regular T250 and numbers were basically identical to my Wilsons which makes sense because the lofts are the same. Perhaps a more apples to apples would be T250* launch spec 7-iron(35*) vs my Dynapwr Forged 8-iron(34.5*). The T250* is still 5-10 feet higher and about 400-500 more rpm so still better flight window for me. The last piece that was a big uptick to me is Wilson does not have lightweight heads for over length builds so my current irons are D7-D8 because I play +1" and 3* upright. So the T250* being 6 grams lighter to begin with is also very welcome change for me.
  6. Was fit for T250* Launch Spec irons at my local store on Monday. Gained a solid 5-10 feet peak height and 1,000 rpm spin over my current Wilson Dynapwr Forged irons. I wouldn't say the T250 is a particularly good looking, sounding or feeling iron, but hard to argue with the performance. Ordered T250* Launch Spec 5-GW with C-Taper Lite X-Stiff. Can't wait to get them.
  7. Srixon ZX7 4-A w/ Mitsubishi MMT 105 TX Flex shafts and JumboMax Zen Lite Large Grips. These irons are very over length as I am very tall so the heads are lightweight from Srixon for an over length build. The MMT shafts were installed and not butt trimmed at all in order for me to achieve maximum length so they can be trimmed down as needed just keep in mind that the heads are about 6 grams lighter than standard. They are in near mint condition as I hit balls mostly indoors. Price is firm at $750 shipped in the US. Price is non-negotiable and I am not interested in any trades.
