  1. Morgan Pressel trying to explain bounce on a wedge is really something. Not once did it occur to her to relate the bounce angle to the turf condition. Her continued employment as a TV presenter is mystifying.
  2. It's funny they didn't say anything about it as it happened and the camera cut away really quick to a different shot. They only mentioned it as he was walking up to the green. The timing right after the "human interest" video segment about the Lowry mural down the street was interesting.
  3. No hyperbole, it's pretty straightforward. The practice swing caused the ball to move.
  4. Lowry's ball just moved in the rough. He lightly set the club behind it and it rolled back as he took a practice swing. He never replaced it.
  5. I had a 47-34 round once. A handful of Canadian fades on the front nine. 3 birdies on the back. Actually won some money in the 2-man weekend game with that performance.
  6. Not this year, the R&A did away with them for some reason. Probably to save a few quid.
  7. It was poor form for the caddie in the group ahead not to rake the bunker, but Fleetwood's lie did not look that bad. Bones and company went off the deep end on that one. If it's that much of an issue, don't hit it in the bunker to begin with.
  8. Western Gailes is amazing but lacks space for the necessary infrastructure. Membership probably wouldn't want it either. I really enjoyed the round we played there.
  9. The scarcity drives its popularity. If it were widely available, most folks would realize it's not a magic bullet. It is a great ball and I enjoyed playing it, but I don't have the swing speed to really take advantage of it. There's less than a handful of guys on Tour playing it - Jake Knapp, Tony Finau, Cam Young. The target audience is players with that kind of speed.
