Replacement for Adams 9064LS Driver

Hello All,

 

I am looking for a replacement to my Adams 9064LS driver. I have mine cut down to about 44.75 inches and love it - but thinking it is time to see if there is anything out there that is comparable but taking advantage of todays technology. Currently playing to a 7.7

 

I have had a mix of drivers in the past - Ping G15, Nike, Tour Edge Exotics.

 

Currently gaming Ping I20 irons, ping wedges, cameron putter, TEE 4 wood and Bridgestone J33 hybrid (old but can't see to part with it).

 

Appreciate any feedback of those who may have made the move from this driver already as well as general thoughts on what is out there.

I cannot find a driver that outperforms my 9064LS. I have tried others, but I always go back to it. It is just very consistent, and long enough.

I try everything and went to an MP 650. I still have two other 9064s though. They're still great heads.

I've had the 9015D and 9064LS both were solid performers, If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I personally always liked the feel and sound of the 9015D better but moved to the J40 445 for added forgiveness and even better feel.

Why not stick with the Adams? I have not personally hit one but the amount of praise around these here parts for the 9015D, 9032LS and Fast 12LS are hard to beat.

I was gaming the 9064 and one day needed to use my backup bag with the 9032 in it. Longer and straighter. I went back.

If you want to make a change, get on a launch monitor and see if a shaft upgrade would make a difference.

Hey there I have been playing the Adams 9064LS along with 9015D for several seasons now and I can't find any driver out there that outperforms them and out looks them. I do have a Ping I20, which is very close - you might want to give that a go. It is a little more open than my 9015D and helps take the left-side out of play for me.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. The Fast 12 LS is nice but I highly doubt there is much gain distance wise and for me the 9064 is more forgiving. Mine has a regular shaft which is a little whippy for me or I feel it would still be firmly seated in the bag.

Keep the 9064LS, the Fast 12LS is great too and they can be picked up for peanuts so it definitely good to keep an eye out for one going cheap.
Hit well, the 9064LS wont be shorter than any other driver out there today.

That's what I did, picked up a mint Fast12 ls for cheap and plan on keeping my 9064ls just in case. Senna is correct about the 9064ls compared to others in the distance category, it's a great driver. Newer is not always better.

Went from the 9064ls to the ping i20. Worked out for me.

9064- straight, decent feel, decent looks, medium length distance wise.

I20- could miss it left or right, but awesome feel, perfect looks IMHO, and bomb diggity distance.

I need a shaft change for the i20, but even as is, it's head and shoulders above the 9064.

Sidenote: gave the Adams to my buddy. It's now his favorite driver of all time. Very good club, just wasn't great for me.

Still have my 9064, don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Nothing wrong with it if it still works, I'd hang on to it.

I was at a Roger Dunn the other day and they had several 9064ls's for about $45-$65 each. I just had the thought that I should have bought them all. I already have 3 in rotation and an 8.5 head (that I need to get rid of).
