Tw12 shoes

Searched for related threads but didn't find much...I just ordered a pair of tw12 nikes. I ordered them for a few main reasons:

Cost - got then for 85 bucks. Ordered the black pair. Figured I got a good deal since these were a 150+ dollar shoe when first released. Now that I see the tw13s going for about a 100 or so I'm thinking I should've bought these instead.

Style - I have the air ranges and love them. I've never had a spiked shoe so wanted to see if I like them, so got the tw12. I also liked that they do have more of a traditional dressier look, compared to the athletic look of the ranges.

Technology: even tho they are 2012s I figure that these shoes must be good from a tech view. Traction, water proofing etc.

Golf trip; heading to myrtle in a couple weeks, so probably a good idea to have two pairs of shoes.

They're set to arrive today, so looking forward to putting them on.

Anyone game them in the past? How did you like them? From my research it seems like these are the least popular TW shoe

i think the reason they were the least popular is because Tiger never actually wore them. They came out during his knee issues, so that's why the '13's were fast tracked to production i believe.

as for the shoe itself, it's a great shoe, Keegan Bradley wore them for a while, so I think you should be alright in the comfort area, and i agree that the styling is there as well, a very sharp overall shoe.

FWIW, i own the TW13's and think they're amazing...might not be bad to pick up a pair on the cheap. it'll be like a back-up to your back-up pair.

I have the '12s and they are a great shoe. You will be happy with the purchase.

Thanks guys. And yeah I am definitely looking at the 13s as well. I'll see how I like the spiked shoe as this will be my first pair. Will report back once I have them on in about 6 hours

I haven't worn the 12s, but the 13s are unbelievably good--much better than the 14s, in my book. Definitely keep an eye out for a pair of 13s on sale.

Wait a second. I just realized I made a mistake I have the 13's not the 12's. The 13's are great. I cannot comment on the 12's. I'm sure they are fine though.

I've found the 12's fit and build to be better than the 13's.

Just tried them on. Mixed feelings. Good looking shoe, but my heel seems to slip out when I'm walking in them. They're kinda stiff so have a feeling this could be fine when I break them in. The shoes make me feel like I'm almost wearing high heels haha again I've never worn spiked golf shoes so maybe it's the spikes and something I'd get used to. I'd hate to have to deal w the exchange process and the wait time. Decisions decisions

Ordered the white. Hopefully I like these a lot better. Def open to trying a spiked shoe again but idk I may be better off staying with spikeless

They are completely different shoes... One has free technology, gear more towards a sneaker feel and one is crafted like an old school golf shoe..
