Need help with optimal spin numbers

I know you all will have the info I'm looking for on this. I have a difficult time getting my launch angle higher than about 8 degrees with the driver due to the fact that I tend to hit down a little on the driver. I recognize that the best option is to learnt to hit it on the upswing but that isn't going to happen...I've tried, believe me. That being said, what would be my best spin rate at 8 degrees of launch with a 105 - 108 mph swing speed? I'm loving the i25, but the spin rate is around 2600 with the stock shaft. I've got an ad di6 but that would probably only make my spin go lower, and no, it doesn't help my launch much at all. Any thoughts, other than change my swing?

Without changing your swing you could work on teeing the ball just a bit higher, hitting the ball just above center of the face will increase the launch angle a bit and also bring spin down a little which could allow you to increase your loft and still retain the same spin numbers. Launching at 8° you would be looking for spin in the range of 2500-3500 for a good average of carry and roll. You can fool around with this: http://flightscope.com/products/trajectory-optimizer/ and input your own numbers to check what the shot would look like for your launch and a variety of spin numbers, you'll notice that at 8° launch angle with spin from 2500-3500rpm you'll still end up with the same total distance and just a difference of carry yardage. I used a rough estimate of 155mph ball speed as ~105mph swing speed with a good 1.48 smash factor would put you right in the 155mph ball speed range.

What happens to your numbers when you go up to a higher loft with the head? Changing loft of the head will always be more effective in changing those spin and LA numbers.

Wow, great info guys. Thanks. So it sounds like I need my spin somewhere around 3000. In that case I'm not too far off, I was afraid I needed something close to 3700 given the low launch. The difference in LA between the 9.5 and 10.5 head is pretty negligible, maybe a half degree. Don't get me wrong, I've never had an issue with distance really. Just making sure I'm getting all I can get given my swing. I generally manage a carry of about 250 on the course and occasionally can move it to as much a 260 to 265 carry. Total average drive last year based on GPS for all rounds played was 270 (total distance, not carry).
