The 771 irons and 775 hybrid have arrived. The clubs are absolutely stunning in person. I'm putting together my entire Wishon bag tonight and will look to post a WITB thread in the upcoming week. My wife is working afternoons so I will have to wait until Friday evening to swing the clubs outside. I'm hoping my home course will be open so that I can take the Wishon's for a 'test drive'. I'm looking forward to a beautiful partnership. They had me at hello : )

Thank you Kadin. Exceptional work. I've thoroughly enjoyed the process from start to finish. Last up, the 919 F/D

Those are some fine looking sticks my friend, I hope they bring you many fairways and greens :)

Did you go 3-pw 771's?
Depending on the course conditions and/or set-up, the irons will begin with either the 18* 775 hybrid or the 19* 870 ti driving iron. I purchased the 771's from 4 - GW.

How do they feel now that they are all there and in hand? Is your yard big enough to get out and swing the club a bit?
I just put my son to bed and I'm about to go out to the garage to begin filling my cart bag with the Wishon's. I've already hit the 4 iron, as it was the test club, but I'm intrigued by the short irons. I do chip/pitch in the backyard, but that is the extent to which I can hit balls. I'm going to swing them tomorrow night as I've never swung a MOI matched set. Let the adventure begin.

That's an awesome setup! I've only got one Wishon club, a 6 hybrid 321 LI. It's by far the best and most consistent club in my bag. I love it and can only imagine a whole bag of Wishon!!!
Asiz,

Thank you for the kind words. This truly is my dream set-up. I've assured my wife that I'm done purchasing clubs for the foreseeable future. Now I must purge what I've accumulated.

Can't hit them outside till Friday? It's going to be a long week my friend. Kind of like having Scarlett Johansson naked in your bed but not being allowed to touch :) I'm curious to know your initial impressions since we are in such a small club.

A fabulous analogy Platoon. I'm going to leave them in the kitchen so I can sneak peeks when I'm feeling lonely. I will be sure to provide feedback when I get them outside. The proof will be in the dirt. I'm so excited to have joined the Wishon fraternity.

As I've stated before thank you for your thorough review of the 771's. Your thread was definitely a catalyst.

That's right Platoon. I'm playing as a single, so lets hope I don't score my first ace as you did. I'd like for someone to be present so we can share in that moment. Heck, I'd just like to be present to see a hole in one.

But great anticipation in hearing about your round...enjoy the clubs and let them do the work...hard to imagine first time out, not hitting anything in months, and then new clubs to boot....!

Kadin's work is excellent...so you will nothing to blame on those!

The 771's performed beautifully this evening. They launch the ball a little higher and are about 10 yards farther than my Ping G25s. They have a distinct sound and feel; a solid thwack on well struck shots. The blunted leading edge of the sole cuts through the turf nicely. Kadin was correct in his shaft assessment. He recommended that I play a set of Wishon Stepless shafts in stiff flex (soft-stepped once). This was a bit of a concern for me as I was coming from a 75 gram graphite shaft in regular flex. I was concerned with the weight change and vibration dampening properties of steel. The MOI matched set felt balanced and I didn't receive any excessively harsh feedback from toe/heel/thin strikes.

I enjoyed my first outing with the set of Wishon's. I think I'll keep them ; )

Glad you finally got to put these bad boys in play. Your first experience sounded very familiar to mine. The one mistake I did was dialing in my distances at the range with top flight range balls on a 40 degree morning. The next day I played a full round in 75 degree weather with my Pro V1x's and had a terrible front nine. What I remember about that round is it took me 5 or 6 holes of air mailing greens before I really realized the true distances with these irons.

As far as the ace goes it took me 30 years but it was worth the wait. I usually try to keep my emotions in check in golf but after the ball disappeared in that hole my celebration rivaled Justin Leonard's 1999 Ryder Cup Celebration The one thing i did learn on that day was I never realized how many friends I had. Everybody was my buddy at the bar after the round :)

I've grown accustomed to the look of offset irons and definitely benefit from their design characteristics. They appear to have a little less offset than my Ping G25's.

If you are searching for a low offset iron from the Wishon product line the 575 mmc's and 560 mc's should fit the bill.

It's nice that there are so many products on the market to address the needs of different golfers.

I played as two golfers during the round: PD #1 and PD #2. PD #1 was over a handful of greens, and PD #2 was intelligent enough to club down. PD #2 was shot 7 strokes lower during the round. Let's just say that I need some short game work : )

I would love to be present to see a fellow playing partner score their first hole-in-one. I seem to expect pandemonium on the tee box. The bar tab was higher than you expected, but I'm sure you wouldn't trade the money for the memories that you made on the day.

Congrats again Platoon.

PD your up early, you must be heading out golfing are you? I'm taking my son indoor golfing this morning as it is pouring rain here today.
I wish Pigems. The little Peanut woke up at 6 am and had a meltdown because PM (PeanutsMommy) was at work. Rubbed his toes and scratched his back for a 1/2 hour in bed and he's now working on a craft as I drink my coffee. I'm living the dream.

Have fun at the range with the boy. The PD expects center strikes, towering tee shots, and low scores only ; )

I'm really sore from yesterday's round so I'm going to enjoy a day off.

Are the 771's going out this weekend?
The 771's are in the Kitchen, but a stone's throw from the car. I tee off tomorrow morning at 8 am. It will be a nippy 2* with a 12 km/h wind, but there is 0% of rain. I also will play early on Easter Monday so all is good.

The clubs have performed admirably in my three rounds this year, but my short game needs a tune up after a winter spent in the simulator.

I hope your 771's have had a chance to see the sunshine Platoon.
