"Thanks for posting. I get my Wishons bought on the BST on Monday. I cant wait."

GDF, Welcome to the Wishon family : ) Which irons are being shipped your way?
Im getting the 560 MCs tomorrow. Im hoping for some forgiveness with the forged Iron feel. I cant wait to hit them. Wish I could have gone to a fitter and see which one I liked best like your 771s or the 870 ti. I dont think you can go wrong though.

if the 560s are good enough for Tom then they should be fine for me.

Oh and thx for the welcome.

Ill let you know how they perform.
I saw the ad for those 560's. They were beauties at a great price. I like the look of the previous badge.

I had thoughts of building a split set with 771's in the long irons and 560's in the mid irons, but opted for uniformity. Was a bit concerned about distance gaps. An excuse to add to my Wishon collection at a late date : )

Well I have had the chance to hit the 560s a couple times now on the range. I must say on a well struck shot they are butter and way more forgiving than a forged iron ever should be. The feel on these irons is unreal even on slight mishits they just take off the face.

That being said I am having a little trouble with the irons right now. I am gaming the 5 iron but Every now and then the irons balloon but this is because of the shafts that were put in them. They are graphite sk Fibers ( tour track 80) and I tend to hit the ball high, a problem I am trying to work through, but this shaft and my swing are a bad combo. So now I have to get them re-shafted. I am sort of frustrated. Buyer Beware. Hard to know what you are getting online. This is an easy fix but I don't have the funds to do this right away. So stay tuned until I get the shaft sorted out.

Its eating at me having such a good gamer sitting on the bench in the garage.

Tom's head designs are legitimate. I'd confidently put their performance alongside any OEM on the market today. I think you must have a sense of your wants and needs when purchasing from an on-line fitter. Months of discussion went into my purchase of the 919 driver and 771 irons. I tested Wishon's Stepless shaft in the recommended flex before I purchased a full set and then sent the club back to Kadin so that he could MOI match the entire set. I don't think I would purchase a full set (from even the most renowned fitter) without testing at least one club in the real world beforehand.

I will state Kadin's recommendations (change in club length, total weight, swing-weight, flex, and material) have all been validated in real world testing. Thus far I've tied my career low round in the past month, and am seeing distance gains throughout the bag. I just need my short game to round into form.

I don't think the 560 clubhead is your issue. I agree with golfpros1. Technique and/or shaft weight, flex, and/or material.

I agree with you about Tom's head designs being comparable to any of the standard OEMs. I would even go as far as to say they are better. The forgiveness with the high MOI head of the 560 is something I have never seen before.

As soon as I get a new steel shaft they will be in the bag. I love the profile of the head. The 560 has a thin top line and a moderate width sole. That design feels so right at address and inspires confidence as you succinctly have said. I just cant believe its High MOI with such a slim profile. I think that is the innovation in the design.

How do you like the stepless steel shaft in yours ? Is that an expensive shaft ? I spoke to a clubfitter and he recommended a KBS stiff shaft to remedy my little problem. But of course I really need to get fit properly.

As a gent who has become accustomed to looking at a chunky topline I was really impressed with the look of the 771 from address and I've heard that the 560's are even thinner. I gave serious consideration to purchasing them, but chose to stick with a bit more offset and forgiveness.

I really can't comment on the price of Tom's Stepless shafts as I did not purchase them separately. They do feel smooth on full swings, I like their weight, and am impressed with the ballflight I'm well struck shots. I have KBS 90s in my Adams CB2's and they flight the ball pretty high. The Stepless shafts are producing a med to high ballflight on well struck shots (which I was looking for). I'm a mid 90s driver swing and have always played a regular flex shaft. Kadin recommended that I soft step a stiff shaft so that it would play firm to flex. Dispersion has been tighter than my graphite shafts and I'm liking the feedback I'm receiving.

It may be difficult to lay your hands on a full set of Wishon shafts as most builders will not sell components, but you could ask. You could also find an inexpensive set of pulls on the BST and/or ebay if you know what you are looking for. Be sure to purchase from a reputable dealer as you may receive a shaft(s) with issues (eg. bent tips).

I wish you luck in the quest. Please chime in and let me know how you make out.

Fwiw. I ordered and have received Wishon 560mc irons. I know my specs real well since I was fitted twice at Titelist, and currently play the AP 2s. My fitter, Ron the 'club fitter' is in Mobile. We talked and emailed my wants and needs intensely, right down to the distance from my wrist break to end of mid finger. I wanted to see if a slightly more cavity backed forged club could make my game even better. I went Aerotech 110 gr weighted shafts and every club head and shaft were tested for precise MOI , weight , loft etc! 3 wraps with GP Tour Wraps. Hit em yesterday on range first time. Compared w my Titelists for distance and exact feel. Buttery would be the first word comes to mind and slightly muted compared to the KBS TOURS. Next word would be Sweet! Not to mention their beauty. Pretty nice work from Ron and Tom W!,

Has anyone tried the new 755pc irons? They look very nice and look like a perfect tweener set modeled after the 752tc. Any feedback kadin? I'm thinking of going all in on Wishon this year like I was a couple years ago. I've always had some amount of Wishon in the bag. My 55* WS wedge has been in the bag for 3 years now and it's freaking money out of sand and anywhere from 100 in. I figure if the top of my bag is Wishon, might as well go all in, plus i'm wanting to tinker this year :)
thanks. What current iron would you compare it to? I have both the 560mc and 870ti. Something in between that sounds perfect. I don't know if you have any comparisons to major OEM'S to give, but that would be helpful as well. Especially compared to the Apex, Covert forged, or TP CB irons.

Thanks Kadin!

I've got my eye on the 755PC too. It's an all 431 stainless head so no face spring effect. Distance control should be good as a result. Comparable to Cleveland CG16 maybe? Callaway Razr X? Cobra Amp? Straight stainless heads with no nonsense features.

Just got my set this week. I haven't had a chance to play a round with them yet, just some chips with the wedge and 7 iron. I would call the head mid-size. I have an older set of Mizuno Comp EZ's, and these are very similar in size. Before I bought these, I demoed a 6 iron. They have a nice solid feel to them. Basically a no frills cast cavity back. I love Wishon equipment, but I wonder how much technology is packed into this head ala an AP1, Ping i and G series, etc.

The cavity of the 755 somewhat reminds me of my Ping G25's given the addition of the 'tuning port'. The sole and topline appear thinner so I think the i25 comparison may be more appropriate.

575, 870, 771, 775, 560, I literally could put any of these Wishon model's in play and be absolutely satisfied with their appearance. I have a feeling my Wishon journey will continue with another set in the future. The 560 and 575 are of greatest interest. Wish I could try them all.

Love Wishon! Just built 6-AW 771CSI with recoil shafts last night. Can't wait to try them out today. This is in addition to my 560MC set and 575MMC set, these sets have the Wishon step less shafts, so it will be interesting how the switch to graphite plays out.

Wishon is quality stuff. My son and brother both play the 560MC and love them.

I'd love to hear a comparison between the 771/560/575 heads. Distance, forgiveness, feel, look at address, etc. Also would like to here your thoughts on the recoil shafts. I've moved from graphite to the steel stepless. Have been pleased with the results thus far.

575 are nice small heads. Definitely for the better player. They look beautiful. I like to practice with them and focus on hitting it on the sweet spot. My nephew and his friends who played college golf love them.

560 are the best forged heads around (IMHO). Butter smooth. Love the sole interaction with the turf. Love the off center forgiveness. Address look is a confidence builder. Three sets of these in my family. We all love them. My brother who doesn't play a lot, actually called me coming home from the golf course after his first round with them, gushing how awesome the clubs were and how smooth they felt. He said he couldn't miss with them.

771 are in a word - forgiving. I have a 7 iron built up as a demo with the recoil shaft. I have hit approach shots off the toe and then watched in disbelief as the ball gets to the fringe of the green, when it should not even been close to the green. It doesn't have the buttery feel of the forged 560, but forgiveness and distance are great. This head shafted with the recoil shaft is a nice setup. Smooth, no harshness on off center hits. Address look is nice, not a clunky look like a lot of the heads in this category. Turf interaction might be better than the 560, but I need more time to be certain. Seems like the 771 does not want to dig at all.

To give my reviews some clarity, I am an 11 handicap, 50 yo, with a 90 - 95 swing speed. I play regular shafts. The recoil shaft is the 660 F3.

Thank you for the mini review.

I can't comment on the performance of the 575 and 560, but love the milling on both of the heads. I may look to add the 560's to a split set of 771's some day (maybe 8, 9, PW, GW). If my ball-striking continues to improve the 575's would definitely be on the radar.

I've carried the 771's for 18 rounds this year. I too have been stunned by the off-center hit performance. I hit a sandy ball on the toe of my 7 iron last week (1/3 of the ball wasn't even on the club) and the ball still traveled 135 yards. The turf interaction is exceptional. They don't dig and are effective out of the rough. I've really had to rethink my yardages as they are nearly a full club longer than my previous set-up.
did you give any thought to the Wishon red iron shafts? I'd I've a comparison of those to one of the popular graphite shafts. I don't need graphite, but am interested in it. I have one in my garage, just need a head to put it in and I think I'll order a 755.

I read about the S2S Red shaft. They do not fit my swing profile. I thought of trying the S2S black in the irons, but veered towards the Recoil and Aerotech shafts. The Recoil shaft seems like a good shaft for my swing.
The Red is very similar to the steel fiber 110 I asked Tom the other day about it.

"For the i90, it would be the S2S Black 85 but with ¾” additional tip trim on the Black to get pretty close to the i90.

For the i110, it would have to be our new S2S Red, flex to flex to the i110 with no additional tip trimming on the Red. "
Thanks. I've never like the black shafts. They "fit" my profile but they don't feel good at all to me. Much prefer the white with some tipping. Talked to and a few people and they recommended the red and I love it in the 775hs, and 929hs. Also going in my 919f/d so I figured it would work nice in an iron.

Needless to say this thread is pure sex!

Temb you have a theme going on today...

Look at our signatures DP. We are smitten. I'm sure on some level we both realize that this party has to slow down at some point, but for the time being 'we're up all night to get lucky.'

Now I'm going to bed to join my already sleeping wife. I'll be lucky if she stirs when my head hits the pillow. The wee one demands most of her attention now and the PeanutsDaddy has turned to Wishon product for a bit of excitement : )

It's awesome that you have both found something that you love and results always speak for themselves! Happy Wishons to you.

Second outing with the 771 and recoil 660 shafts. Shot my personal best - 78 on my home course (132 slope)! These irons are fantastic. Mishits were still getting on the green and well struck balls felt great and a nice ball flight. I wasn't going to make a five iron but these are so easy to hit I think I will make up a five iron.

Congratulations. A PB early in the season (I assume) on a tough track. The long irons are definitely easier to hit than almost everything I've carried (similar to my Ping G25's) but they don't appear chunky at address which I like. What are you currently carrying in the upper portion of your bag?
