Supporting cast?

Sometimes it seems to me as if forged irons garner a disproportionately large percentage of the conversation regarding quality irons and wedges. My question is not intended to generate a whole reignition of the cast vs. forged debate that has been done ad nauseam but instead to ask the following-

 

If you play cast, what have you currently got in the bag?

* for myself, currently using Titleist 962b irons and custom Vokey wedges

 

Any new perspectives regarding equipment decision making process is welcome- so what you got to say for yourselves, unless scared to lose your Golfwrx cred? :)

I haven't played a lot of iron sets, but I don't know if I'll ever game anything other than a Mizuno forging after bagging the 14s. I will say that quality castings feel near identical on pure strikes though. I think the Ping cult will be pretty active in this thread.

I'm using PING S56 and Titleist Vokeys and could not be happier with my cast club since I changed from forged.

Way more dureable and when you hit de sweet spot, the feel is as good, IMO.

I'm using 712 ap1's and an old 588 60* wedge.
I've played everything from Mizuno MP14's to Callaway X-14's. I really don't care how the metal was formed to make a head.

Still playing the Rocketbladez Tours and just picked up SM4s on sale, finally replacing some old X Tour wedges.

Reflecting on my Signature, everything except the Mizuno and Cobra wedges. Apart from the faces on some, every modern metal wood is cast.

I have been playing forged irons for a few years and just hit an S56 7 iron the other day and it felt amazing. Looking to potentially pick up a set of cast irons soon to go with my cast 8620 wedges.

Cast is King! Call me a hacker if you like, but my experiences with the Nike Covert 2.0 cast were much better than with the forged club. They still won't and can't kick the original RBZ irons out of the bag, even though I seemingly try to every weekend.
