Fujikura Shafts

Looking at experiment with another shaft for my Anser driver. Fujikura is a manufacturer I've never used or embraced much so I'm going to stick an Anser tip on one just to satisfy my curiosity and see how it goes.

 

I generate a lot of ball spin so a lower launching lower spinning shaft is my preferred option and I like a smoother feeling shaft. 100-106 is my average swing speed.

 

I've looked at the following three shafts however I won't get a chance to try any so I'm just going to buy blind and have some fun. Who would recommend what out of these and what is the general opinion/experience of Fujikura.

 

Fujikura Fuel 60

 

Fujikura Fit On Max 75

 

Fujikura Rombax 7z08

 

Gimme some views and feedback please and I'll pull the trigger on one of them and report back after trials. Golf is about fun and experiments!

Love Fuji Shafts, play them in my Driver and 3 wood and backup shafts are fuji as well.

I too impart a lot of spin, my choices to knock spin off are :
1. x.2 tour spec
2. fuel tour spec
3. 7.2 non tour spec

depending on how heavy you want it

Not fool proof obviously, but if you are into experimenting without trying one of them....give their fitting tool a try.

The Fuji. Motore Speeder F1 was a low spin monster in my Anser. I moved on from it because well I upgraded to the i25. However, it was a smooth feeling shaft which allowed me to feel like I could swing out of my shoes and it would be online. Good luck man.

I think it depends on what driver head you're using it in too. However, it seems like the consensus that the X.2 Tour Spec Speeders are probably the lowest launching and spinning of the bunch. I've tried a 7.3 TS, and it didn't spin too much but felt weird to me (like too soft in the butt section). I'm trying a 757 and maybe a 7.2 TS if that doesn't work out too well.

I'm trying these all out in the SLDR head, so spin isn't really an issue right now. I'm more concerned with how the bending feel matches up with my swing.

I just put a 70x Fuji Fuel TS in my 910 D2 To replace a broken GD DI 7X. Great shaft, still in honeymoon phase but Love it so far. Great feel, dispersion, and ballflight. Used the online fitting tool as well. Great kick through impact.

I just ran thru the tool linked, for fun. Got the same result as you. Was in a shop earlier today and saw one in a Nike driver - shaft looks nice - definitely passes the eyeball test.

After that took a risk and snapped up a new Xcaliber TS shaft delivered for £40!

Probably a bit too stiff for me but I'll try it anyway, nothing ventured nothing gained. Still tempted to buy a Fuji Fuel as well.

The rombax 7z08 is one of my favorite shafts ever! Spin killer with great feel.

I've gone UST VTS but for years I absolutely loved the VTLT and Vista Tour 70 (the latter the best fw shaft ever IMO).

If anyone remembers those, are any of the current offerings anything like those icons?
